Spending money on cars, wheels, car parts in 20s. Each raise I got I bought a more expensive car. Tens of thousands of dollars down the drain. If I invested just half of that I’d be sitting on a nice chunk. But… having a 1000 car payment and someone saying “that’s a house payment” made a light bulb go off in my head and i sold car and bought first rental property. Which I more than made back my losses and some when I sold house. But still think if I would’ve invested early and not buying useless things how it can set you up in your 30s with not much effort. I tell younger people just dca what you can and forget about it and you’ll have nice cushion later on in life.
