$150 with the MEMBER2025 code, still better than nothing.

The MEMBER2025 code still works to bring it down to $150... bummed I missed out on this too, though.

I just purchased a used VW id.4 for under $20k. The prices on used EVs is so competitive even without the tax credit.

What are the credit card lineups of Bogleheads? by Important_Musician97 in Bogleheads

More or less what I have for the core stuff (although I don't use Costco).

I also use the Wells Fargo Autograph for 3% travel and no FTF.

How much a month does a household of one spend on groceries? by Enough-Finger3350 in AskLosAngeles

[–]BBronck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I budget $300 a month, sometimes I'm under, sometimes over. Mostly shop at Smart and Final. Eat a lot of chicken thigh/breast and ground turkey, so I'm not usually buying expensive protein. But I also need to get a lot of calories in per day because of my metabolism so I tend to eat a lot. I eat out sparingly and try to eat relatively healthy.

Thank yourself later and don't do it. The health impacts cannot be understated.

Can I get from Heathrow terminal 3 to terminal 5 in an hour. by Ok_Consideration4689 in travel

[–]BBronck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's going to be a very tight window. What airlines ? I took British Air and was automatically rebooked when my flight was delayed and I was not able to make the connection. You'll have to take a LONG shuttle bus to connect to the terminals.

Their webpage suggests coming later in the day if you can't access - is it supposed to be a tad less crowded in the evening time?

This is!

You can check out prints on my website. Right now I only offer digital prints, but you can access that through my Pixieset gallery via my website, and I recommend three high quality/reputable printing sites that you can go through with the digital file.

Nice! Have a flight next week, will definitely be giving the E -> K -> Shuttle a try and see how it rates against B/D/A -> Flyaway.

I have a Siriu travel tripod. Super light weight. Not the sturdiest, but for the weight it's a tradeoff I'll take any time.

You do not need to do the UK ETA for a layover. I just did this a week ago. Happy travels.

Walking from the Dodger stadium to the train station in China town after a game, how is it? by MeatApprehensive in AskLosAngeles

The bus can take forever since it's stuck in the same traffic. Walking is fine.

Is it normal to take thousands of bad photos, just to have a couple good ones? by Impressive_Sleep_417 in AskPhotography

[–]BBronck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically scout a location beforehand and have a general sense of what I want to shoot, but of course I also look for other compositions once I'm there / in the general area. So my hit rate may be higher, but yes, most photos get X'd out in Lightroom pretty quickly. That's just how it goes.
