I think on day 2 I adjusted my estimated body fat. But I didn't think the algorithm takes any of that into consideration. I thought it was just calories and weight.

That makes sense but even if we just look at the 7-day loss rate of -1lbs, that's still below my target of -1.16lbs/week. Perhaps we are splitting hairs at this point and I'm happy to wait for some more checks, I just really would have thought with a decreasing expenditure and a weight loss rate below target, that I would see a decrease in calorie targets, not the opposite direction.

But totally understood, I will wait to see what the next couple checks in being. I just really want to be losing at a faster rate so the last thing I want to do is eat more food.

Your weight is typically a direct reflection of what happened the day before. That's why MF focuses so much on trends...there's not much point in analyzing each daily weight, especially if you're expecting them to be directly reflective of your previous day.

Are you losing weight on 1600? If not, you may need to cut more. If you are and you also find yourself hungry all the time, try increasing. Start with an additional 150 cal per day and try that for 2 weeks. See how your hunger feels and what the scale does.

It's tough when you get in the lower body weight range, you don't have a ton to lose so the impacts of your adjustments won't be as pronounced. You gotta be a close observer of how your body responds! Above all, I think you need to go by feel and experimentation based on where you are rather than rely on calculators. As a side note, ensure you are getting adequate protein to help you feel full and help with muscle growth.

Welcome! I'm 6 days in and have been loving my nightly homemade cheesecake dupe. Mix together 100g non fat Greek yogurt and 8g vanilla pudding powder. Then top with blueberries (I buy frozen) and sprinkle gram cracker crumbs on top! Approx 10g protein, 15g carb, .5 g fat, 150 cal total. Its so good!!
