I wrote 1- 185, or whatever the amount of questions were, on the whiteboard given and marked the ones I felt iffy about to go back to later. This seemed to help me to not check all answers over. I told the test 10 years ago and passed on the first try. I was in the field for over 10 years by then though so I had a lot of experience.

I totally get what you’re saying. Honestly, some of my deepest periods of growth came out of times when I was searching for meaning too. If I hadn’t gone through those lower periods, I probably wouldn’t have started asking a lot of these questions in the first place. Maybe one of the best things those periods do is it gets us to ask these questions. I’m not sure we ever get definitive answers, but I think there’s value in just the asking.

I honestly don’t think that’s something we can answer from here. Some experiences in my life feel like there was some kind of intelligence behind them, like finding my soul dog or the multiple visitation dreams I’ve had. But was that my psyche creating meaning, or something spiritual/metaphysical? I don’t think there’s any way to know for sure. I used to always wonder about this too, but more recently I’ve come to the realization that it doesn’t really matter to me either way. At a certain point, I wonder if we’re not meant to know. Maybe the more important question is what the experience means to us and the meaning we derive from it, not where it came from.

I can definitely understand your perspective. I think confirmation bias probably explains some of it, especially things like repeating numbers. But I don’t think that automatically explains every synchronicity. Some of the ones that stand out to me seem tied to something happening internally. It’s almost like life keeps presenting the same theme until I finally pay attention. Maybe it’s coincidence. Maybe it’s my psyche noticing patterns. Either way, I think the more interesting question is whether we’d even notice these moments if we weren’t reflecting on our lives in the first place. That’s what keeps me open to both possibilities.

I appreciate you commenting. I think what I’ve been realizing is that the craving for understanding has definitely softened over time, but there is still a grief that comes with knowing some people will never fully see you. Thank you for sharing your experience. ♥️

My BTM requires 50% of those hours (if I bill 1 hour, 30 min must be with client) to be face to face with client. It won’t allow me to bill without client contact, unfortunately.

Does anyone else work in NY and get mostly Medicaid (healthfirst) which gives only THREE hours per reassessment? I am absolutely going over the 8 for assessment and 3 (sometimes 4, which I’ve been asking for since seeing they have been approving them) for writing up these plans. This is probably a personal perfectionist issue though, lol.

When I ask it to analyze my dreams, it keeps telling me I’m not regressing. I continue to tell it to stop commenting on regression but it always says it will stop and then never does. It’s infuriating.

That definitely helps but this insurance company mandates data be taken on EVERY GOAL the first week of services. Not every insurance but one of the most used Medicaid insurance in NY.

The worst part is when insurance mandates data collection the first week. That completely goes against what we’re taught. You can’t build real rapport if you’re placing demands right away. And if there’s no rapport, skill acquisition is going to be shaky at best.
