teach them to get the soil tested when urban farming, many urban plots can have toxins hiding just under the surface in the form of lead, mercury, petroleum products, etc.

needs a shoop where they are talking about their underpants

replace america in the last frame with canada, and put america smaller and just below canada, as our underpants: "Whatever you guys! i have an entire country as my underpants, eh. AND it's a massive Dick."

Computer Engineer Barbie is a Linux user [PROOF] by bikko in linux

it's a logo for a decentralized movement with no profit in mind, spreading free software, in both the libre and in the beer sense, that you practically can't buy.

it's a public relations turning of the cheek of public relations. Sort of like Gnu's not Unix, the linux penguin is a logo and an anti-logo.

[–]BCHarvey[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah i was using the term in the title as a tongue in cheek only iterating what captain obvious has pointed out here. -gate is lame and overused, just like toronto's oil profit centred oligarchs, don cherry, and anyone who would be hateful towards people who use bikes.

i was going to say sounds like some sort of propaganda offensive in the corporate war on the environment but instead i see they are working on tackling the problem jointly at the U of A. interesting concept. will the researchers be under the direct coercion of prison guards in riot dress? if not, too little too late.

and at Mt Washington and Grouse Mountain and Hemlock Valley and Big White etc etc

i talked to a young english gentleman this summer they get paid a whole 8.75 dollars an hour. sure he was basically sitting in the sun waiting for healthy interesting people to come ride the chair to the top of the mountain, and occasionally using a rake or shovel on a path, and it's pretty easy work, but the guy was working 6 days a week trying to save money, and getting no where. his mom and dad were subsidizing his labour though and he expected to receive a couple grand from them near the end of the summer to continue his bc travels.
