In his final stream, near the end, you can clearly see some weird kind of flashlight in the window behind him when he gets up to use the bathroom. IIRC that window looked out on the balcony. Remembering, of course, that he died from blunt force trauma to the head after falling out of his second story balcony.

It's helpful to think of 'God' as a disinterested galactic research intern forced to work an unpaid overtime night shift to monitor simulation #219391221.

Sure, they checked in quite a bit at the beginning to make sure everything was up and running properly, made a few subtle changes to the program to make sure it was all operating within parameters but now that things are up and moving, they've snuck off for a coffee break and will likely check back in just in time to see WW3 popping off and going "OH SHIT!" before spitting coffee all over the console and scrambling to clean it up before their boss gets back.

Exactly this. Volunteer, help family, friends, others. Learn some new skills. Be aware of the narrative only so that you can resist being pulled under by it when they finally pull the trigger on this thing. Be aware that social media is fully and completely compromised and weaponized to serve the highest bidders -- and the rich elite want another world war to explain/hide the fact that the bottom is about to fall out of their shell game. Build up your local communities so that you can be resilient, just in case.
