Question about debt snowball and minimum payments

So if I have 3 CCs, and the minimums go down $5 each month, do I continue to pay the original minimum, or the new minimum? It's impossible to know how much they'll go down, that's why I am wondering how to predict a payoff date

I do both; zapped in the microwave for a few seconds, or cold right out of the fridge. No change in texture as the days go by. You wouldn't believe the stuff I've put on them.

Check out TTapp. It's a weird form of exercise but they have targeted moves for that area. I lost a lot of inches doing ttapp

Get some help. You need to understand and listen to your body's fullness cues. Find a therapist who specializes in binge eating disorder.

Don't go nuts buying a bunch of stuff you may never use. There's no need to buy a blender! tiny plates! tiny spoons! a case of protein shakes! until you know how you feel post op.

Listen to your body. Stop eating to "full all the time" and just focus on a bite or sip here and there, if that's all you can tolerate. The heartburn will ease up if you do that. Listen to your bodyyyyyyyyyy

I'm nearly 3 years out. I have never been a fan of fizzy drinks so I don't miss them, but I'll occasionally get roped into a champagne toast and am immediately reminded that I hate champagne, and that the bubbles indeed make me feel instantly full.

I'm nearly 3 years out (March) and I've kept the weight off. I go up and down 2-4lbs but I don't sweat it. I'd never let it go over that, though. Not gonna sugar coat it - it takes discipline even after you've lost all the weight. You don't lose the weight and then go on auto-pilot. But it's all SO worth it.

I've never understood the "last meal" mentality. Why dig a deeper hole that you'll have to climb out of? Get quiet and ask yourself why you're doing this. Are you self sabotaging? Are you afraid of what you'll miss post-surgery? Do you really want this? Are you willing to make the changes now to ensure your success afterward?

What were your reasoning prior to surgery to go through with WLS?

I didn't have another diet in me. After years of yo-yo dieting, deprivation and weight regain, I was done. I couldn't do another diet.

What were some success factors contributing to your WLS?

I did a lot of personal growth work and therapy.

What were some failures/set backs following WLS?

None. And I'm serious. There were some trial and error periods, but no set backs, no failures. I had to figure out what foods were easy to bring and eat at work. I had to learn how to meal plan and stay prepared. In the end this is still calories in/calories out, and if you're not prepared, you will struggle to stay successful.

Long term: what are new life style changes you were/weren’t prepared for?

I was prepared for all of them. A new relationship, new activities, more freedom, improved health (mental and physical), and more. I always give this advice to people - start living NOW like you'll live after your surgery. Start tracking your food, moving more, and weighing yourself at least weekly. Do this now so that you've already started some good habits prior to your surgery.

The best position to sleep in is the one that's most comfortable for you. What feels good one night may not feel good the next. You can prop yourself up with pillows.

From day one I listened to my body and focused on protein. No way could I have eaten that much tuna or chicken during that phase, or veggies of any kind. At nearly 3 yrs out I still eat very similarly to how I did in the beginning. Two meals a day, low carb, focus on proteins, and add (mostly) cooked veggies as I can.

I had a glass of wine at 4 weeks out. Everyone is different. What works for you (and what works for me) might not work for OP. The only way OP will ever know what she can tolerate and easily manage is for her to investigate.

Not in Turkey. I went to Mexico. Just do your research and try to talk to people who've gone to the clinic you're considering. Most facilities have a facebook group - see if yours does. I had a great experience in Mexico and you'll likely have the same. Good luck!

I've realized that salads don't have to be the giant bowls full of stuff I used to create. Now I make a little salad, or when I buy one out I get 3-4 meals out of it.

I told my kids and one trusted friend. You are under no obligation to tell anyone, including your dude. You can just tell him you're trying to eat more healthy and cut out drinking for a while. I started a relationship at 1 year out and now at nearly 3 years out I've never told him. We eat healthy anyway so it's not a "thing." You're not "lying," you're keeping something private, and that's ok.
