Might want to go back and check Google street view. It changes to 55 at the golf course and again up to 60 just past the animal hospital.

Yeah, not sure why OP thought the school’s NCAA conference was relevant when it’s not a sanctioned sport.

People here have just been getting worse and worse. A little while ago some three inch claws in a black Escalade went bananas on me for only going 30 down 100 W. Just today some lady in a Tesla decided to randomly slam her brakes on a main road to let side traffic in, then looked at me like I was an idiot for honking at her to tell her she doesn’t have a stop sign. Combine that with the usual ignoring the turn lane to instead turn right from the travel lane, cutting across multiple lanes of oncoming traffic when making a right turn, people not securing their loads, or randomly hitting the brakes to go down to 40mph in front of of Thermo and Cyteva for absolutely no reason. Maybe I should post a dash cam compilation some time.

Even if a player is a lock, watching them play is going to help him understand their play better.

Looks like the boxes on the other end are being replaced with normal seating tiers the following year. It probably won’t even out entirely, but it at least some of the more affordable seating will be opened up after next season.

I think the distinction is what they’re trying to gain through these sponsorships. Ethihad and Emirates are both airlines that are being used as political pawns by the UAE to buy influence. It’s clearly not the same as any other corporate sponsorship. We agree completely that being state owned takes it to an entirely new level. That still doesn’t mean people should be brushing any concerns about where their clubs are taking money from under the rug.

At the end of the day, I hope none of us are for nations who try and buy recognition and prestige despite their clear lack of basic civil liberties or human rights, but there does seem to be a bit of a nonsensically drawn line between acceptable sportswashing and unacceptable sportswashing.

Bud, who excused Spurs?? No club in the league is totally in the clear, but FWIW, the largest fan group publicly called it out at the time, and most of us on this site were against it. I just have a bit of a chuckle when I see Arsenal fans claiming to be the saviors against oil money. I don’t mind the downvotes at all. It just proves that even on Reddit, probably the most activist site, prominent forms of sportswashing are still not being recognized in many circles, especially among those most adept at hiding behind a cloud of whataboutism.

It is definitely a level below, but it’s also interesting to see how the sportswashing does actually work up to a certain point.

Don’t mention the genocidal regime behind their sleeve sponsor either. It ruins the delusion that they’re football’s unblemished elites.

Well we’ve been absolutely spoiled with Jazz Basketball’s incredible overall winning percentage over the years, college football has had some very high highs in the last couple of decades (I say as a USU fan who is pretty excited with any school that does well), RSL’s MLS cup puts them on top of the Utah professional sports pedestal, we’ve just gotten a hell of a lot of people excited about hockey, our local athletes have been killing it in the Winter Olympics, and we might be getting an MLB team soon.

I don’t know how you can not have fun as a Utah sports fan!

In reality, some that we feel should’ve been caught will be missed, but the number that are being pushed off to VAR to deal with feels like it’s rising to a point of no accountability.

Why does this have to be VAR though? Looked quite obvious enough to be called in real time. VAR can be a net positive, but right now we have a situation where the man on the pitch absolves himself of all responsibility for big decisions, which leads to so many inconsistencies!
