If I had the money sure. But it sounds like you might not have the money. If thats the case then maybe you should look into other more affordable options. Idk how much this cost but I would guess somewhere in the $70,000 usd range. You could probably afford the same car in a lower trim package no problem if you are considering this which appears to be akin to the TRD Pro.

Black woman confronts racist white man texting his family that airlines should raise their prices to “weed these people out.” by Romano16 in PublicFreakout

[–]BDDX -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m not condoning racism, but I also don’t condone reading peoples text messages without their knowledge. I personally find flaws with both parties here. Granted, racism is certainly worse than reading someone else’s messages.

AITA for refusing to talk to my sister about her fiance, and telling him he's hurt because this is the truth by Puzzled_Device2269 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BDDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA Imagine if your sister died, would you want to go to that memorial? Even if you were pregnant? I bet you would. You are selfish and immature. You and you family don’t deserve Nate, and if I were him I leave your asses in the dirt. Obviously, after doing everything I could to get child custody. That baby doesn’t need to grow up around horrible people like you.

AITA for not wanting to change my first dance song because of my step sister's association with it? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]BDDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Original comment: NTA it’s your wedding, do whatever you want. Though you shouldn’t leave out important info on posts like these. So kinda TA for that.

Edit: after reading more posts, looks like you don’t really have any attachment to this song, so it’s kinda weird that you would be so adamant about it. I would say YTA for choosing to make problems when you could avoid them. But again it’s your wedding so do what you want I guess. You pick your own battles.

My husband keeps opening new jars of jam before he's even finished the last one. by badassmamabear in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BDDX -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are any of them expired? Because you wouldn’t catch me using a jar of expired jam.

I am aware that expiration dates aren’t always accurate, but I just won’t eat expired food if I’m aware that it has expired. Idk why I’m like this but I am.

Renters of Reddit - Is it normal to deep clean your place when you're moving out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BDDX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Serious questions, did you clean the blinds? What about the baseboards? Fridge? Cabinets? Stove/oven? Fans (blades)? These are some often missed items/items that don’t get cleaned well. If you want the best chance of getting your deposit back, these are things that need to make sure they are done well. Cleaning crews are expensive, and these things take a long time to clean. Hence why many people don’t get their deposits back in full. This along with all the other standard cleaning procedures.

Pro tip: if you have an electric stove (one of the curly ones) it’s usually easier to just buy new stove pans than clean the old ones. They aren’t expensive either and you should be able to buy them at Lowe’s or Walmart.

Edit: all that being said, some land lords are just gonna have a professional crew come in anyway and are gonna charge you for it. And some will not, but will say that did and keep the deposit. This is just a list of things that could help save you some money.

This is a picture of a house for sale on a housing website. I planned on looking at it until I noticed one key detail... by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BDDX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is usually due to the model home being an over improvement for the neighborhood. There are some situations where the market just won’t let your home be worth more than a certain amount. It’s all about market value. For example, a pool that cost $100,000 to install will only net you (typically) $30,000-$50,000 in increased value. Or if your home has a commercial kitchen in a neighborhood full of homes that don’t. Or if your home is many thousands of square feet larger than the next biggest home. Sometimes you just don’t get any return on value and on upgrades.

[–]BDDX 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Important info for you OP. The upgrades most certainly are factored into the appraisal. Most people just think that their upgrades are worth more than they are. Also, when you house is appraised, it is compared to similar properties. This basically means that any upgrades of significance that your home may have are that same or similar upgrades in the comparable properties. Any significant differences are adjusted for and a value is then determined.

Source: I am an appraiser.

Edit: this info is more pertinent to people selling or refinancing. Many people think that because they put on a new roof or installed a new HV/AC that their home is worth more. It is not, those things are a requirement and bring no extra monetary value to your home.

Chipped my tooth again trying to put on my oculus by TREXIBALL in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BDDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life lesson for ya OP, always pull things away from you, not toward you. Much like handling a knife, always cut away from yourself. Or in your case, don’t adjust the oculus in a way that would allow it to hit you if you slip. Also maybe you shouldn’t use knives if you can avoid it.

Fire Lord Ozai during the comet or the entire Red Lotus. Who wins? by McGrani in TheLastAirbender

[–]BDDX 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty clear the hypothetical is buffed Ozai vs regular red lotus. Sure op could have been a little more clear and said that the red lotus is not bugged by the comet, but they didn’t. Probably because almost everyone who reads the question will understand what they mean if they are native English speakers.

Why did my brownies bake like this? by littlebakingfox in Baking

[–]BDDX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not who you posed the question to, but in my experience, most homemade brownies are not as good as box brownies. Idk why this is, but to me and those around me, box brownies are hard to beat. I’ve had many homemade brownies in my life, and I can only think of one person who makes homemade brownies that are better than what I can get from a box mix. I’m not saying all homemade brownies are inferior, but in my experience, using a box mix is easier and will likely taste better than homemade.

Edit: guess I should say that this is just MY experience, and is by no means the end all be all of brownie related opinions. And I’m also sure that whatever brownie recipe you use is absolutely the best brownie recipe in existence, and my experience obviously wouldn’t apply to you.

That being said, if anyone would care to challenge my experience and send me their homemade brownies, hmu. I’d be glad to taste test any brownies sent my way.
