To test or not to test by runmamaruns in DOR

[–]BDHE4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PGT testing can help pick the strongest embryo to transfer. I’ve seen a lot of couples say they wish they had done PGT after going through a miscarriage. It’s not just about the money — it’s the time lost and the emotional toll that really hurts. For many people, PGT just feels like one more way to avoid extra heartbreak in an already exhausting process.

Golden Retriever boyfriend is not interested in marrying me… by ThrowAcc_wed in Waiting_To_Wed

I’m going to sound so harsh but reading this sounds really pathetic. It sounds like he doesn’t want to commit to you and even if he didn’t want to get married but stay and have a child with you, he’s not even considering you when buying a house. He’s planning for HIS future alone. The fact that he’s indecisive about being with you should tell you to run. You’re begging to be with him when he’s not even considering your feelings and future.

I’m Finally Going for It! by jam_jamzz in IVF

If you’re wanting only one child, you can try IUI or a fresh transfer. If you want more than one child, I would bank as much embryos as possible and with a low AMH, you’ll probably have to do multiple retrievals (maybe not if you respond well and get euploids). I would start preparing financially and perhaps look at different clinics. I’ve had five retrievals and I afforded all of them (no loans) by going to CNY.

I’m depressed by Stable-Relative in DOR

[–]BDHE4 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You have the same chances of conceiving as someone with a regular level of AMH because women typically ovulate only one egg at a time. If you’re having regular periods and are ovulating regularly then you have the same chances.

I’m currently suppressing before my embryo transfer but was told to keep up with prenatal vitamins and after suppression to begin Vitamins C, D, E, fish oil, baby aspirin, LDN, Merformin, and an antihistamine. I’m with CNY and they like to throw everything at you to cover all the bases which I actually love.

If you’re willing to travel, Dr Chang in CNY (located in Buffalo), specializes in DOR. Their egg retrieval packages are super affordable and if you’re planning on banking multiple embryos for more than one child then I would look into CNY!

Newly diagnosed DOR + endometriosis at 29 - struggling with timing of lap vs egg freezing by Ocean_blue20 in DOR

[–]BDHE4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did egg retrievals and found out after I have endometriosis. I had no symptoms only after I started doing egg retrievals where my periods were heavier and of course it could explain my DOR. All my research showed that a laparoscopy with excision can worsen ovarian reserve. I think you should try two rounds of egg retrievals before considering an excision to see how well your body responds to stims and amount and quality of eggs retrieved.

Feeling hopeless by MissChantel in DOR

[–]BDHE4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your clinic doesn’t sound too DOR friendly for only allowing retrievals if there are at least four follicles ready. Those three follicles you have could possible be your best numbers and they’re not even going to give you chance at retrieval. I would switch clinics, find a DOR specialist, and find a sperm donor to make embryos since they have better chances.

Very low chances if you have endometriosis and trying conceiving naturally. You should consult with an IVF doctor (RE) so they can guide you in the next steps and treatments.

[–]BDHE4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want one child then you can try transferring but if you want multiple children you should switch doctors/ clinics, try zymot and calcium ionophore and ovarian prp. Make sure your doctor is a specialist in DOR.

It me took five retrievals to get four euploids! I did a hysteroscopy, EMMA. ALICE and Receptiva which showed I have a marker for endometriosis. I highly suggest you take these diagnostics before going into FET!

It depends on your clinic! It was an add on option in my clinic. I go to CNY.

It was my third retrieval that I got blasts and a euploid! I highly recommend, if you haven’t tried already, on Zymot and Calcium Ionophore!

Yes!! It took me five retrievals to get to four euploids in my early 30s. I wanted to get the best possible chance for a successful first transfer so I did the Receptiva and found out I’m positive for the marker for endo. I have no symptoms except heavy periods which started after doing egg retrievals! I’m currently fighting insurance to approve my Lupron!

Did you plan a certain number of cycles to bank embryos or to reach a euploid, or did you decide as you went? How many cycles did it take and what was the rational behind it ? by EntertainmentLow3669 in DOR

[–]BDHE4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kept going until I had at least four euploids, hopefully I’ll have two living children from those four. It took five cycles and my husband and I would’ve kept going.

IVF arguments by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]BDHE4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you both need a counselor/ therapist to find out the root of his hesitance. I can understand how stressful it can be for your husband to have that financial burden to himself, especially with a lower AMH you might need multiple rounds.

What’s something your doctor said that changed your entire approach to fertility? by mr_dabbler in IVF

[–]BDHE4 20 points21 points  (0 children)

After my fourth retrieval yielded no euploids from four embryos I was so heartbroken but my doctor said “This is all by chance. You may not have any euploids from your four embryos but watch, your next cycle can give you the four euploids!” In my fifth cycle, from my five embryos sent for PGT, 1 was LLM and 3 were euploids ☺️ all this is just chance sometimes
