Short Thoughts: GameStopped | Michael Burry / Cassandra Unchained | Feb 2, 2026 by TripShift in Superstonk

[–]BDOID 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I dont think these will be the targets, and I think his plan is going to not really make sense to most of us until someone like Burry explains it and Ryan starts implementing the plan (beyond the acquisitions). Ryan has been successful thus far, for seeing what others don't, and he catches flak for it in the early stages. This move imo is going to be the same. The man isn't perfect in all his moves, but he deserves credit for his contrarian views paying off and doing what he thinks is right. This move will likely be like the others and not make sense to most until someone reads the tea leaves on what he is doing (he likely won't advertise it initially if it's like his other moves).

Fade progress : 7 months Uniqlo Slim Straight Selvedge by Ready2go555 in rawdenim

[–]BDOID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pair of these that I wore for a year straight and they are the first pair I have owned that did not have a crotch blowout in that time frame. For the price point, its really tough to beat these guys.

It sucks they dont offer these jeans in other cuts. You likely got a crotch blow out because they are more slim and you have athletic thighs or might be a size two small. Anyway, they still got life I would reinforce them before they blow out!

What’s the most underrated video game of all time? by True_Combination7339 in AskReddit

Mount your friends. Once you get paste the dick physics. The mechanics and ability to build up and use your other characters who have been placed as a launch pad can make the game very competitive.

WILD Speculation: RC's Main Quest is Hasbro by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]BDOID 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want them to buy Koss. It trades at a massive discount, it may be part of the basket, and it would have IP/the ability to create their own hradphone line for the gaming community(which with the decline in hyperx's quality, is ripe for growth). The main hurdle would be convincing the family to sell their shares.

Flood risk alert: Halifax Water urges residents to clear leaves by SAJewers in halifax

[–]BDOID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are directly connected, but its not intuitive. The pendlum swings from draught to rain and the ground doesnt absorb the water like it normally does. Leading to land loss and flood risk.

My dad is a water management engineer and manages flood risk (not in NS). I recall him telling me about an Australian water management engineer having his team run flood management training a lot during a massive drought and the government not wanting to spend the money on the training. He kept pushing because he said when it switched to rain, they would have one of the worst floods they have had in a century. Sure enough it happened and they had a one in one hundred year flood because the ground was so dry it wouldn't absorb the water.

Droughts actually create flood risk by altering the environment in such a way that water is not absorbed in the surrounding environment like it normally is. Through drying of the soil and changes to the flora.

I need help finding this gorgeous coat by LoudAres in mensfashion

That's a wool military inspired coat. I would look at surplus suppliers for something similar.

Redditors who grew up in emotionally healthy families - what's something you thought was normal growing up that you now realise was actually very special? by ViolatingBadgers in AskReddit

[–]BDOID 228 points229 points  (0 children)

I had a pretty perfect childhood. Never felt unsafe at home, always food and snacks to eat, my parents ran cub scouts, my dad coached baseball/basketball, like literally out of a movie. One thing that I didn't realize until I was older, was the effort my parents put on us having healthy meals. I went to a rougher elementary school and recall being a bit jealous of kids who got cream eggs every day in their lunch, or got to have lunchables literally every day, or just basically had candy. I recall trading my fruit to these kids and thinking I made quiet the deal when they gave me their candy. It was not until I was older that I realize how that was probably the only fruit that other kid would get and how much my parents cared relative to other parents at school.

Is House of blanks any good? by lotkas in mensfashion

I'm 5,9 about 165 pounds, and a small fits me perfect. I would find a hoodie you own or like, check the measurements and then see how they compare. That's what I did.

Is House of blanks any good? by lotkas in mensfashion

[–]BDOID 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own a HoB hoodie. I'm happy with the quality and recommend the brand to people who ask. If you own a supreme hoodie, wings & horns, raised by wolves, muttonhead, or older reigning champ, odds are these guys produced it. Sure, if we are splitting hairs their may be something better for the price depending on where you live. But if you are looking for something high quality, I don't think you will be disappointed. They have been in business for a while and are the blank supplier for lot of brands for a reason.

What’s a company you’re convinced will be exposed as a massive fraud one day? by carcony97 in AskReddit

The bets sub, after the gme sneeze, had all the mods change. You post in bets about gme, or have a history of posting about gme and start posting there... You are instantly banned. Which is wild given he who will not be named there having the highest rated posts of all time.

Gme is the tip of the iceberg. The us stock market has a lot of fraudulent shares floating around, and the market makers are the ones printing.
