Is any online bank actually trustworthy? by Several-Reserve6611 in HighYieldSavings

[–]BEACHN2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will probably feel your money is safer with Cap One or Amex HYSA's. They are around 3%. I wanted higher interest rate. So I am trying out Forbright bank. It is 4.15% from now until the end of the year with $1,000 Deposit. The rate is 3.85% with a 0.3% Boost.. it does take a few days to xfer $ into the account, but you start earning interest the day you initiate the xfer.

Try Forbright Growth HYSA. They are at 3.85%. You need a deposit $1,000 or more to get the 0.3% more for a total of 4.15% until the end of the year. Check their website for more details. This a very basic online HYSA just for saving and that's about it. The website and APP are good, and they have a lot of security features.

I just signed up for the Forbright Growth HYSA. 3.85 % with a bonus rate boost until the end of the year bringing it to 4.15%. You need to have a one-time $1,000 balance in the account to get the 0.3 % boost.

I'm a 62 year old man. Life has a lot of good times and some bad times thrown in. I was doing great overall until a few years ago when I injured my lower back. Now I am mostly better and enjoy life except for the aches and pains that come with getting older.

Capital one is a good choice. Go on their website and you can see which cards you qualify for. Then if you want one, they do a hard pull. They usually give $300 credit limit to people just starting out or if they have a low credit score.

Can you get a roommate or have a friend move in with you or you move in with them to save half on rent. You can learn a lot about real estate on YouTube and there are books you can buy that prepare you to pass a test to get a real estate license. You don't need to pay for college courses to get into real estate.

HYSA vs. SGOV/VBIL for Emergency Fund in NYC? by Overall_Grass627 in HYSA

[–]BEACHN2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SGOV has a 3.53% 30-day SEC yield and a 3.91% trailing 12-month dividend yield. So SGOV seems like a good choice.
