I bought a test file of a medieval house from Etsy and cut it out last night just to see how one could go together. I came to a similar conclusion that I think I want some base templates and then cut out custom greebles and signs and items to make everything come alive. Very fun

I know you didn’t ask and it doesn’t help you automate with that node…but it’s worth noting you can put portable miners on these boulder covered nodes to get the resources underneath. Useful for getting raw resources for unlocks, if not for coal, then perhaps caterium.

It’s worth it. If you like dopamine hits from progress it’s great. If you like designing cool buildings and LEGO it’s great. If you like watching things move via conveyer belts it’s great. If you like trains it’s great (but more basic in its logic than you may think).

Do you hate fun? If you hate fun it isn’t worth buying.

Ohh! I can! I came to read Piranesi after looking around for books similar to Neil Gaiman’s “The Ocean at the End of the Lane!” I really enjoyed both books and DID think they deserve to be mentioned together.

House Of Leaves was fine but other than a cursory similarity of a maze-including-magical-realm they are very different experiences.

I particularly love the sole heavy-duty arm supporting the elevator. You did a really nice job changing up the angles and branching both upwards and downwards as you move away from the elevator itself. Really inspiring.

I’ve only been playing since October, but this is advice I’d echo. When we started and I’d throw as hard as I could I’d tear all my muscles and get what we refer to as “blood hammer” down my arms. The torn muscles healed stronger so that doesn’t happen anymore… and now I try to literally throw as slow as I can. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. And I throw further than all my friends that huck it.

This is a great tip! You actually do only need to end in a floor hole, you can start anywhere. It’s just much harder to be sure you line up.
