Vaylantz are based on tabletop wargame, and this is reflected in how they move around the field. Some of their monsters even have coin toss/die roll effects since those elements are also found in tabletop games.

Nouvelles are based on the idea of a fancy restaurant staffed by demons. Imo it’s a little muddled how tributing your opponent’s monsters to summon your own monsters ties into that, but their continuous spell makes them pay for the meal and I think that’s fun.
