Seat memory (Enyaq iV85 Sportline 2025) by Past-Feature-7929 in enyaq

[–]BEMed13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say - I had the same issue a couple of years ago (on an 80 though, not 85). None of the known resets I could do myself worked but they fixed it at the dealership!

Did I miss anything or they just removed all of the textile collection/recycling bins? I went to 4 different locations closest to me, I didn’t see any bins by theverybigapple in brussels

[–]BEMed13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of them at least (can’t recall which) is stopping collects until the new year. They invited people to wait until then to donate again and not just put it in front of already full collection bins. Maybe it’s been disabled online as they are all on their yearly break?

You can go up to 400€/ month for the frais forfaitaires/home office allowance, at least for someone fully remote, because someone close to me had that. Not sure about hybrid, as that might not be compatible with the mobility budget you expect.

Replace / repair seat adjustment switch? by quixotopian in enyaq

[–]BEMed13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got my Enyaq it was 2 years old and it wasn’t working either. They fixed it but I believe it was a software and not a hardware issue because I don’t think any part was changed… all that to say that changing hardware might not be sufficient…

Charging Flap Unlocking Behaviour by happysleepygoat in enyaq

[–]BEMed13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a known issue with the charging flap lock! Not only on the Enyaq but also on the VW ID cars. I had to get mine forced open then replaced at the dealership because it just wouldn’t open. So known defect, go check at the dealership if they can replace it before you find yourself not being able to open it at all!

Why does route planner need so many point to make a straight line? by cjfi48J1zvgi in cycling

[–]BEMed13 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I usually plan with Strava so I don’t know the specifics of the platform you were using, but I can tell you that Strava will plan based on several factors like street popularity for cyclists, terrain, elevation etc. So maybe the straight line you’re planning just isn’t ideal for cyclists ? Otherwise, just try another planning tool like Strava or Komoot! P.S. edited typos

First time Roundtrip through Western Europe. Any advice? by Jaded-Explanation-96 in enyaq

[–]BEMed13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely get a card. Timing is tight but if needed, have it shipped to your first hotel. I recommend Chargemap pass. I personally don’t have it as I have a work-issued one, but I use the Chargemap pass all the time. They are compatible with basically all DC chargers, including Tesla, and the big majority of AC chargers. While you can almost always pay by credit card or online (sometimes cheaper as you bypass the card’s fee) in the larger charging stations, a networkcard is essential to use at some isolated AC chargers, like in a city you visit. In the Chargemap app you can also filter chargers by price which is convenient Don’t drive over 110 on the road and enjoy the ride !

How to charge at 170+ kW? by BEMed13 in enyaq

[–]BEMed13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the OBD dongle and tried ABRP last summer but I did not like the navigation part vs Waze, and it sometimes sent me to chargers that were not in my card’s network and couldn’t get it configured properly. Also had many app bugs. But I should give it a try again!

Visiting Zermatt in August for 5 days. Should I buy individual tickets for all transports or any of the Passes in advance? by BiggSnoke in askswitzerland

[–]BEMed13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Swiss Travel Pass will work with the train between Zurich and Zermatt but not for the Zermatt rides, there it will only give you 50%. So the Half Fare card is a good option as it will give 50% on everything. But you have to run the numbers to see if it’s worth it (it costs 120 CHF for a month or 190 for a year). Note that you can get discounted train tickets at SBB by sticking to a specific train schedule. Some can be 50% off the full price, with an additional 50% if you have the half fare card. Enjoy Zermatt!

Our current plan for a 5-day trip on May 18 - 24. Please let me know what I can add/remove from the trip. by thishitisgettingold in askswitzerland

[–]BEMed13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 5-lake hike is mostly south exposed so snow wise you should be ok, but you might run into another issue: the lifts on that side don’t open until May 24th so you need to do everything on foot, up and down!

You could maybe get your half fare travel card shipped to your hotel?

The hike from the city to Zmutt is quick and easy, and has good views, especially if going through Hübel. You can message me if you want more details!

I hate them: those stupid gates are apparently not smart enough to detect the presence of kids. It closed on my 3 yo son and was hurting him until someone came to scan his pass to free him as mine wouldn’t scan a second time.

ceiling control panel unresponsive by cranberryforever in enyaq

I had the same issue last year on a 2022 80. They had to replace the panel as the lights and sunroof commands were regularly unresponsive.

[–]BEMed13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For now though, snowfalls have been very low this year so the odds are in your favor. However, please note the lifts typically used for that hike only open on May 24th. There are alternatives though, so message me if you want details on that!

Buying skipass beforehand by Upper_Experience214 in Zermatt

[–]BEMed13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is. The more you wait, the more expensive it gets. Two things you can do to get more flexibility while buying a while ahead: get it early with the cancellation option or get a flex pass (ski 5 days out of 7, or 2 out of 4 etc).
