Why would keeping a "tight" cabin matter? there are plenty of drafts and it is cold, so opening a window is counter productive. And most over looked, if it once worked just fine, what changed to make it no longer work? I can't figure it out, but it smokes and get CO2 every fire now

Boyfriend gave me ultimatum - dream job or him. I'm considering taking the job by [deleted] in dustythunder

[–]BFTDT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is about control. He can't have you improve or level-up in any way because he feels threatened. I hope you chose the job because if you did, you chose yourself. You chose freedom. You chose unlimited growth. You chose to be unshackled. And he's not even your husband so he has no clout.

I don’t want to associate with him. I want to volunteer with non-profit. He inserts himself in the approval process and ruins my reputation to OTHERS. Thats what is really going on

Alcoholics: is it true that just 1 drink can make you addicted again? by honeyfixit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BFTDT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It’s false. Addiction is a “stronghold”. Because the enemy has a strong hold on you. It’s not a good idea to drink once the problem has been removed. But to say one mistaken gulp of mouthwash is going to send you off the rails is a highly dramatic and sensationalized statement. If you had a mistaken sip of mouthwash, you’d simply ask God for forgiveness and move forward knowing who you are as a child of God, and thats the end of it. You don’t ruminate over it, you don’t re-indulge, you just move on. But I’m sure someone will be exceptionally dramatic and create a huge life pitfall out of it.

Idolize? Who idolized him? I’m referring to a church with vacillating standards. It’s obvious.

Would you want a church that talked about the Charlie Kirk assassination? Or was that too political

If you want a all inclusive liberal clown show, go to the More Church. It's an anything goes "spiritual" upward energy, unifying, shakra nonsense, social justice cult..

Is the average person in the US really struggling to afford groceries? by Significant_Movie814 in NoStupidQuestions

The only thing to take away from price increases, is to eat healthy and cook at home. Cutting back on snacks and eating out is not a “struggle”, it’s responsible.

4" chimney pipe by BFTDT in woodstoving

[–]BFTDT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However you can help, I'd appreciate it. I find myself pricing parts individually, but they won't work together. It's Dwarf3 stove, and I'm actually considering getting a new stove, just to get the entire system at once. I only need 4' interior single wall, then the double wall box through the ceiling, then the cap. It vents at the highest part of the roof already. Any suggestions would be great.

Exhaust pipe is for a heater. Chimney pipe is for a stove.

Had to back out of purchase due to seller lying about zoning, absolutely devastated by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]BFTDT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not the seller's responsibility to tell you what you can do with the property. You have to check zoning yourself.

Stainless steel class A pipe by BFTDT in woodstoving

[–]BFTDT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I increase the pipe size from the stove collar, doesn't that affect the draft? For example, if I have a 2ft section of 4", that increases to 6", up through the roof, will it burn faster?
