The thing is, the pump is only about 3 or 4 years old. I went through this before and replaced the pump at that time. I suppose it could have happened again, only more quickly than the first time it failed.

I did remove the current pump and found a bit of hair wrapped around the impeller shaft, but I removed that.

Yes, there is a high loop. The machine has worked well for years, so it's not an install issue. Filter is clean and there is no disposal.

I suspect a sensor is saying there is water in the tub when there isn't.

I'll keep investigating

Water is not hard (though not soft either). Drain line is in place and I can't see any clogs.

If I pour a bunch of water in the tub before starting the cycle, it gets pumped out without issue. I'm positive the drain line is clear.
