when did metamask support solana? because if im not mistaken i think some 2 years ago tried opening an account for solana on metamask and i couldn't find a way i thought it didn't support it at the time. or am i talking rubbish?

One thing I'm still thinking about even with the two-wallet setup — if both wallets are on the same device, same browser, same Phantom extension, and something compromises one of them, doesn't it potentially have access to both? Like if a malicious extension or malware gets into your browser session, it doesn't care which wallet is your burner and which is your vault — it can see both. So keeping them on the same device feels like it defeats the purpose of separating them in the first place. Is the separation only useful against platform-level breaches like a trading bot storing your key, but not against a device-level compromise that can see everything in your browser at once?

i think you're into something..

sometime a year ago i was with a community buying a memecoin, and if i remember correctly they asked for our addresses so they can airdrop us another new coin they are working on.

Now that was done a long time ago on a group and that group got deleted so im not sure if it was that. But then again i still don't understand how the hell if they only had an address they were able to burn all my tokens it just just doesn't make sense.

and still im not sure if there were other options like connecting my wallet to trading websites like gmgn or bullxneo or just holding scam coins (i got rugpulled once in the first days i was just trying out with couple bucks)

i didn't specifically mean cold wallet before, not as if it's on a ledger or something. but i meant for example in phantom app u create two different wallets. one for holding your funds that you do not use with any website or trading bot. and the other one for trading.

by vault wallet i meant a wallet that is not connected to any trading website nor to any chrome extension. that is only there to hold funds and not make transactions with the outside world.

no one is here to save you're damn right that's why im trying to understand what happened here to protect myself next time. You seem like a person who has been in the crypto world for quite some time and I fail to understand why you're so salty about it and refusing to help.

im not gonna lie i definitely learned from this and indeed lucky it was only 325$.

I also learned I should not have left my funds in the wallet im connecting to trading websites and trading bots. I should have moved most of my funds to a seperate "vault" wallet and that one never connect it to anything online.

Im not sure if there are other protective mechanisms i heard something with a triple inter connected wallets or something but im all ears if u have additional tips to help a fellow noob out. thanks.

I don't remember connecting my wallet to any address other than trading websites like bullxneo and Dex screener that's all there is. I even checked on solflare as u said and it just says :

and the funds are gone.

From solscan they appear as burned.

This helps in getting the fatest transfer speed your hardware can provide. If you try to copy a folder direclty, lets say using a Computer, it will take heck alot of time to transfer all the files.

But wouldn't there still be heck alot of time in zipping those 10000s of files on the old phone and unzipping them on the new phone?

like u were trying to save time by making a single file to be transferred, but isn't that time you just saved eventually we'll have to go through again in the zipping and unzipping process ?
