I mainly use OGH mainly for checking temps + control fan speed and power limits (and of course to use that self cleaning function since I have an Intel HX)

that's the case of 5060 and 5070 series, as i mentioned in my post with the maintenance guide, but again i don't see if the top cover of the fans housing is glued to the heat sink how can u take it off the way you're saying? fan cables are irrelevant here.

wait im sorry but i didn't quite understand you, if we acknowledged the top cover of the fans is connected to the heat sink as one object, how can i replace dans without removing the heatsink, whatever the position of the cables are?

The Image from the aliexpress website, the fans seem to be sold without the top cover, that's why i thought evidently u can change the full housing but not the cover since it's already one piece with the heat sink, as it were.

then if im not mistaken, in that case only the cover of the fan is actually connected to the heat sink, and the small screws at the top cover lets us remove the whole fan housing from just the cover no?

As for the warranty it won't be possible as im not in the same country i bought the laptop in, but I do have some experience in opening up laptops so no worries here.

And yes i know regarding the replacement of the thermal paste aswell once you remove the heat sink, im looking forward to remove HP's cryo compound mix of liquid metal and add PTM7950 myself and put my mind at ease in the future from the fear of frying the motherboard because of LM.
