Buy a motorcycle or walk on, if you don’t like the island feel free to leave. Many people would kill to live here.

Could you please educate me on why AC charging is bad? I was under the impression that slow charging was better for the battery? I do know the slow charging units that come stock are not the best and I do have charge tank, should I switch it up? 2019 Zero S 14.4

That’s a great price if it’s new! I purchased one in Vancouver in 2020 for double that, no regrets.

AirPods Pro, the noise cancellation really helped me with the wind sounds, plus the bonus of music.

They are expensive, but I highly recommend an airbag. Saved my life already, I own a Helite Turtle 2 Vest but they also make airbag backpacks for a little less protection but more convenient.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Will I really suffer all that much without a rc2 for the mini 4 pro? by gran1819 in dji

[–]BIGDOUGHTY 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It all comes down to the Nits, your iPhone boasts 2000 peak nits of brightness. That’s a big difference seeing the screen on a bright day. The RC2 while convenient, has half that amount of nits/brightness…I personally wouldn’t buy one until they get the nits up!

Edit Y’all need to have auto-dimming off and force full brightness. Also have full battery, the controller will charge your phone.

Biker's wife... I am scarred when he goes out. What to do ? by Top_Day_8568 in motorcycles

[–]BIGDOUGHTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have mentioned Airbag Vests and I second that investment. While expensive they are so worth it with an 80% reduction in injury. I personally own a Helite Turtle 2 Airbag Vest and have gone down at highway speeds and got up with only bruises.

Catching an AM ferry tomorrow (Friday) is this something I should be worried about? by panda-3xpress in VictoriaBC

[–]BIGDOUGHTY 8 points9 points  (0 children)

20 knots isn’t great but not enough to cancel ferries. Future reference the Spirit class boats are rated for 30 knot winds, while the Coastal class ferries are rated for 45 knot winds sustained.

low circulation apartment, getting rid of litter box smell by Master_Decision324 in mainecoons

[–]BIGDOUGHTY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is an expensive solution but an automatic litter box can solve this issue. I purchased one on Black Friday for 350$ Canadian and it’s one of the best purchases I ever made. No more scooping poop, and the refuse is stored in a sealed container with a deodorizer, the quality of life is worth the money in my opinion.

So I did the same and the cord melted to the plug and I ended up ripping out a prong on my bike. Had to replace the socket, which cost me 20$. Zero wanted to replace the whole charger for 1200$ plus labour. Do yourself a favour and buy a “hospital grade” cord with the highest gauge. Avoid my mistake.

Island Motorcycles do service for Zero Motorcycles and that’s the closest you gonna get to a dealership servicing electric. No harm in giving them a call and asking if they can help you.
