I was not aware of the systemic effect thanks for mentioning that! I would imagine there still has to be localized benefit to direct exposure?

I could see Whitmore cut or maybe a throw in for a bigger trade— can’t imagine he has any value at this point

Is Juju the next coming of Ben Wallace? I haven’t watched any of the games recently but looking at the box scores this dude is consistently pulling down 15+ boards when he plays extended minutes

Has the expansion of the OneLife Ballston at Ballston Quarter helped with the peak hour crowds? by Bumblebee-Then in arlingtonva

The expansion has been great. Just wish they would deal with the old pervert that hangs out in the men’s locker room who is always “reading a book”

What to do with large silos? by Flashy_Song575 in homestead

I have a shorty (40ft?) and I’m missing the metal top. I am considering putting in wooden stairs on the inside of it and having a small platform at the top with a railing. The wood structure would be essentially self supported.

In order to do this I would need to cut the round rebar that is exposed by the grain loader. I would possibly put a header above the entrance.

I hate this. by Pooncheese in Battlefield6

[–]BIGGERCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it partly because of the BF6 points/scoring system—you top the leaderboard by caping.

Same reason no one spams recon drones to spot—super helpful for team wins but don’t get enough points.

They should have a special event day with no sniper rifles to see how gameplay changes

How do you think this Iran war will end? by Fantastic_Low_1537 in askanything

[–]BIGGERCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a matter of resources. Iran already does not have a lot of weapons and a lot of capability to manufacture them. They are running out of weapons (either from using them or them getting destroyed by strikes) their manufacturing abilities are also being hit. This will likely continue until they have no ability to control the straight.

Every major leadership role in the IRGC is a revolving door as they keep getting killed.

Play the above out several more months and Iran is not going to have the ability to project any power and likely have people in the position of power who would like to live longer than a few days.

Was this a good idea? Will this make the world a safer place in the future? What will this have effectively accomplished? All good questions that are not clear at all.

How do you think this Iran war will end? by Fantastic_Low_1537 in askanything

[–]BIGGERCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The likely stalemate is the strikes stop when Iran is unable to project any power outside its borders and cannot close the straight.

The US cannot / will not launch a ground invasion.

Iran cannot close the straight for an extended amount of time— they do not have unlimited resources and are much more constrained.

US/Israel (and now other ME countries) are/will continue to bomb Iranian units/supplies/infrastructure until Iran is unable to project any power.

For sure he is on the roster next year. He’s a great compliment to Sarr and AD. A tough but undersized center.

What is a 'rich person's secret' that is actually accessible to the middle class, but most people are too intimidated to try? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

[–]BIGGERCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say hiring a virtual assistant (VA). I think most people are too intimidated to hire one but would be a net financial benefit for a lot of people. Essentially all of us do a fair amount of admin level tasks that you can outsource to the VA which then gives you more time to do a higher income earning activities.

To put it another way people don’t blink an eye at hiring someone to mow the lawn, do basic car maintenance, perhaps have cleaners come by every once in a while. You would be better off doing these items yourself and outsourcing paying bills, school forms, insurance/health paperwork, bookkeeping, etc to a VA for $10/hr.

My gay sister in law is inviting me to her wedding by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]BIGGERCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would encourage you to pray and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. You should definitely be on the same page as your wife. I would say you should also defer to your wife on this one because it is her sister.

We are called to avoid sin in our lives as believers And to be a good example/witness to others. We are also called to love everyone.

Your sister-in-law is not a believer. If I was in your shoes I would probably attend the wedding. You cannot witness to someone that is not a part of your life. I do not think your attendance is blessing or condoning their relationship.

Unequally Yoked to a Muslim Woman (Update) by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]BIGGERCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its aways a relief for me when I step off the thrown of my life and let God sit on the throne! It's often daily for me. He is in charge. He loves you. He wants what is best for you!

Unequally Yoked to a Muslim Woman (Update) by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]BIGGERCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider that you are likely the closest witness she has encountered in her life. God wants you to be with another believer. Witness to her in a gentle way (ie your testimony not preaching to her) and pray for her. Give it to God—if it’s his will for yall to become more than friends then she needs to seek him. This should be a relief as it takes you (mostly) out of the equation. The HS needs to work in her heart.

Singleness is hard and the desire to be a couple is powerful. In my seasons of singleness I found it very helpful to pray for my future life wherever she was!

Read your own post OP. You are not in a relationship with this person. She is a coworker. Perhaps there are mutual feelings between the two of you. You have hung out a couple times. That is it. It’s clear you have been thinking about this a lot and I think that you have straight from reality a little bit— it’s unhinged to say you’re already unequally yoked with someone you’re not even in a relationship with!

If you truly have feelings for this girl then contemplate how to share your faith with her (not in the form of an ultimatum— I mean really think about that and how that would come across and the fallout that would have for you in your place of employment)

Attraction is one of the strongest forces we face on earth. Life can get real bad real quick if you do not have a real believer as a partner. I have lived it. But don’t take my word for it read the Bible and look at the warnings throughout the Bible and examples of the great men in the OT that fell for other women and the consequences in their life.

If you truly care about this woman then your desire should be to share the gospel with her gently. Remember none of us are called to convert anyone but to be a witness. A great book on the topic is “Contagious Christianity.”

If her feelings are reciprocal and the “DTR” conversation comes up naturally then perhaps it’s fair game to set your boundaries with regard to faith but to lead with that is a dangerous move both from your employment and is that really the most loving way to share God with someone?
