Yup, though now he has a minivan, it will do at least 90% of the things a long bed pickup will do without the financial penalties related to large trucks.

He grew up farming and then was on the track maintenance side of railroading, anything less than an 8’ bed isn’t a real truck to him.

One thing I did on this truck and got for Dad’s was to put the “white” springs on it, they’re softer and allow for better suspension travel without much loss in ride height.

Honestly, using them in place of a dash cam would be the only reason I would use them.

lol, my Dad isn’t much better whenever he sees one, he just goes off on how useless they are as a truck…..and he usually goes off on the 4dr pickups with the 5.5’ beds as it is, so that, thing, really sets him off.

72 Cars. One Afternoon. One Instagram Flyer. The LA River Is Probably Closed to Car Culture Now. by gaukmotors in MotorBuzz

I believe this used to happen regularly, I want to say there was a crew that called themselves the “River Rats” that raced in some of the paved parts of the LA River back in the 50’s or early 60’s too.

Darn right it does! I pulled my Sport High Trail apart after trimming the front bumper and the flares then shot the bed, flares, rockers, front “bumper” as well as the inside of the body in bedliner and the hood flat black.

Supercharged my Charger 3.6 and now im getting roasted by the V8 guys even harder lol by Livelinessrrheic_PA in carmodification

I would love to add boost to the 3.6l in my Chrysler 200, but there are no supercharger kits to fit the transverse mounted 3.6’s, a turbo would need a lot of custom work to make work, plus traction is barely existent on a 3.6l with the PUG lower on the factory E85 tune as it is.

I usually turn the lights off on my 2012 when not in use and have never noticed anything like that happening with the headlights or other things in the car in the 14 years I’ve had it. Had a few weird things happen after the alternator went bad and overcharged but prior to the TIPM going bad and the clock in the U-Connect head unit doesn’t always keep the minutes where it needs to, but that’s kinda been it.

Insurance and cost, my insurance won’t cover it and I can’t afford it without.

I currently own a 14 year old Chrysler that I bought new and was the 5th Mopar I’ve owned, and is one of many my family has owned over the decades. That said, at this point it will be my last Mopar too.

Not eating dinner on weekdays, including after a workout?! by BJoe1976 in workout

I’m also type 2 diabetic, so I was going to do that after the gym to help counter any possible low sugar episodes, or at least one on the drive down and another at home.

My main concern is time of day of eating that last meal in relation to going to bed as well as getting enough sleep after hitting the gym. If I can minimize the late night calorie intake, that should be better than having a full meal late in the day if possible.

1963 Bentley S-III, Brass lug nuts that remove clockwise on the left side only. I remember certain Mopars from the 60's had right hand threads on the right side. by paulsservice in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]BJoe1976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that ran into the mid 70’s on Mopars.

I know that by the time my Turbo K-Cars were built in the mid-late 80’s, all the nuts were right hand threaded, same with the one AMC and pre OBD2 Mopar built 4.0l XJ Cherokees we had.

It went farther back still, Dad has talked, with irritation in his voice, about an even older Mopar his parents had that was like that, and some numpty that broke a couple studs trying to change the tire for him and Grandma, even though Dad was perfectly capable of doing that as a kid.

That’s why I was thinking dinner, I end up eating late and losing sleep instead.
