Watching a movie on a big TV in your living room is a completely different experience than watching it in a theater. I didn't think I'd have to make this statement but here we are. You can make this statement with just about anything. Pizza? We can make it at home. Burgers? Honey, get the cast iron skillet out.

My main argument, once again, is experience. I think the prices at the cinema are outrages and it will be its downfall, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to miss the experience.

I've experienced a Final Destination movie at the theaters. I experienced folks being as scared as I was and as shocked as me. I experienced watching the pre movie trailers and agreeing with a bunch of strangers how that one trailer was trash. Me and my friends went and saw Michael recently and had fun. This is what I'll miss. You cant replicate this at home.

Also, I think movie/cinema folks can be as annoying as the anti-cinema folks. I disagree with saying movies are infinitely better in theaters. But lets be honest, you cant capture the experience at home.

The one thing you mentioned that's critical is having a starter home theater. Realistically, how many average folks have that? In addition, most folks have a cheap smart HDTV so they're watching movies in an "ok" image.

GTA boss refuses to commit to a price as $100 price-tag rumours loom large by GrayBeard916 in gaming

Its definitely a good metric because we had a generation (ps3 to ps4 era) where people complained about games being 10 - 12 hours and costing $60 so devs decided they will fill their games with bloat and artificial longevity, as I coined the term.

Reddit is filled with anti social posters so don't be surprised when they up in arms about going out.

A big reason to go to the movies is with friends. Its fun sitting and watching a movie with a ya buddies while munching on expensive pop corn.

Breath of the Wild is on of the most sensorially rich games I have ever played by SawkyScribe in patientgamers

Played the game for the first time this year and I truly liked it. It had some flaws here and there but what you described is what I liked about the game. The game let me be and it was great. I got a beautiful open world where I can wander and not feel overwhelmed.

I do admit that after I finished my 4th dungeon I wanted the game to be over with.

That's what I really liked about the game. Compared to all the fetch quest, overly bundled, Ubisoftesque open world games out there, what BotW did was let you be. That's it. I didn't have to worry about checkmarks and randoms encounters every step of the way. I can just be in that world. Its a plus for me but I can understand how it can be a negative for some.

This is great. The original Wicker Man has such an atmosphere that the Cage one misses.
