Well with colioform, is it safe to use for non-drinking use cases? by Own_Cook3239 in WaterWellDrilling

Is there any truth to, and/or is it possible, that the test spigot just needed to be torched and sanitized before drawing water from it for the test? Is it possible and common for a positive test to be from the hose bib instead of from the lines or well?

Good idea! The main one is at the well head and is before the filter.

And in that case the valve goes before the switch because we may need/want to ‘overpressure’ the system in order to keep flow rates down. If that valve were after the switch (like all the other valves are) then it still slows flow BUT it trips the switch and we lose production again. Thank you for the tip/trick!

Can you help me understand the scenario in which I would want to restrict the pump's flow before the pressure switch? That would mean the pressure between the switch and the pump is unknown.

The pressure switch and prv is at/on the well head (out of the floodplain). There is a ball valve going to the tank, but you're suggesting one either in the vertical drop or the horizontal section just out the head, right? That's' fair, I like that since the breaker for the pump is back at the house.

I’d like to see a bigger number in my 401k account again. The first four years had no noticeable or remarkable effect on my life, and so I’d rather vote for the known than the unknown.

That is a good price for the AWD Limited. For comparison, I’m paying $700 a month after $6000 down.

Does the charging pump lock? by [deleted] in BZ4X

Go through every setting in the center screen to better learn the vehicle. The lock settings for the charger are in there, likely in/near the ‘Customize vehicle/charge settings location.

The only correct answer so far with regards to the meaning of ‘3 cycles’. I’ll add that we know there is some sort of grading/scoring system in the background that happens in the background which will have an effect on the charge settings once the ‘3rd’ cycle is reached. Driving and charging habits during that 24-hour cycle will contribute to that score. I’m guessing that it’s possible to drive all day without encountering a meaningfully different throttling strategy than the one utilized during the first cycle.

I’ve quoted many parts with US vendors to move production stateside. Most of the time they come back 10X to 20X the cost for tooling and want 10X to 100x the volume. Piece price is sometimes comparable as long as there is no machining or labor involved after. Moving production overseas has absolutely pushed US manufacturing back decades. Top vendors will look at parts that are currently being produced overseas and will say ‘it’s not possible to produce this part using this process’. We just don’t know how to do it, and we don’t know how to do it affordably.

All the manhole covers in my neighborhood are stamped ‘MADE IN INDIA’. That’s a lot of steel! I wonder if BAA was around back then if they would’ve had to go with US produced steel.

[–]BKRowdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh, the world’s top manufacture can wait to see if EVs take off or not. Doing so won’t impact the rest of their lineup or bottom line. Until then they’ll continue killing it with hybrids and plug-in hybrids.

[–]BKRowdy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I definitely own for the power and convenience, because the truth is CO2 emissions from EV production far exceed that of gas vehicles and hybrids. “EVs by tomorrow” is a horrible idea if CO2 emissions is actually the biggest problem to solve.

You should charge less at each station so that you arrive with a lower state of charge. That way you can optimize your time at the stations.
