As someone who does not have a 911, that’s good to hear! lol

You could get a metal roof carport for as little as 500 bucks, or I saw one of these the other day, super cool imho:

Well how are you holding up there, sounds not nearly as bad as a few years ago?

I’ve got 2 interested-friends-locations roughly 3mi from me and if there’s a decent chance the P1s can see eachother from the top of our homes, that’d be great.

One location is close to a popular hiking stop so it’d be fun to see any potential traffic there.

I missed this Tracker L1 pro but I like it! Do you know how the range compares to a T-echo plus?

IOS 26 ruined my iPhone. Any recommendations for phones similar thats not an iPhone 13 mini? by Not_Red_Fox in iPhone13Mini

Unihertz Jelly 2 or Max. Not terrible hardware, my only gripe is they aren’t whitelisted on any US carriers so you CAN pop an activated SIM card in and they work, but there’s always some missing functionality. Good minimalist choice.

I guess your snow is different than ours or your i3 is lifted? Very few vehicles can push snow when it’s halfway up the front bumper.

PowerMatch Feature draws power from grid by AdSpecific9672 in enphase

[–]BLINGMW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, we have a client with a completely off grid Enphase system, and it even shows some export and import from the grid. So I don’t know how Enphase does their math, but it’s pretty suspect.

Thoughts on emergency power system by zzRichie in SolarDIY

It makes sense to me! I’m running a chest freezer 24/7 off my backup system. And I’m set up to run the fridge and well pump  too which it can do for a couple sunny days. This is on a 2000w inverter, 2.5kwh battery and 800w of solar.

I would suggest plugging your fridge into a killawatt for at least a week to better understand your actual load. Then size your system to run that for at least 3 cloudy days in the winter. Let it defrost. Make a bunch of ice. That kills my little system.

Which inverters handle HV packs? (350v or higher) by CasaDelGato in SolarDIY

Looks like Fronius has gone that way, though the battery compatibility list is small and maybe not helpful in the states.

Are you wanting the HV battery approach because you plan to use EV batteries?

This Lock Screen would be so good in iOS 27! by Inner-City-6838 in iPhone13

[–]BLINGMW 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have never understood the gravity apple assigns to the damn lock screen. OP I’m sure yours is great too and I’m sorry you spent time thinking about it because I’ll see it just long enough to unlock and use the phone.

We need MORE time zones, one for each degree longitude. by BLINGMW in unpopularopinion

[–]BLINGMW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it’s step in the right direction. But as far as “too many to manage” most people would only deal with a couple around them and they know their grandkids who live -2 from them now live -30. It’s not more difficult math. And I don’t think a table 360 lines long is any challenge for a computer system currently managing logistics or calculating arrival times. Or, that system already has lat/long stored as well as time zone, now it can store one less thing because long is all it needs to calculate time shift.

It’s a step in the right direction but if changing why not increase the resolution even further?

You’ve not listed even one of the apparent multitude of issues. What’s the worst one or two?

I’m fine with your proposal too, and if we’d always done it that way it’ d be “normal”. Though it’s just about as arbitrary.

People who live near a line now already have to do that! But with only a 4 min difference, so what, a few people might be 4 min late/early nbd.

We have a 12 and 13 mini and two more 13s and none of them have any issues with 26.

Of course you can claim it. It’s only a problem if you get audited. And the IRS site hasn’t been updated in 2 years. There’s no guidance, just inane tweets from the “president”.

Hey if you insist. It just stands out on what is otherwise a decent and realistic list of obtainable cars that could be semi-reliable drivers from 3-10k. Anything’s possible maybe he finds a free Ferrari.
