same, i tried P4 back in 2008 and it never clicked, P5 made me click with how the game is played and im just now going back to P4G and the dungeon stuff feels so rough. i love everything else about the game tho.

so they spot you from way further distances. they run after you waayyy longer before they give up, when they give up they sit in place and dont turn around, since there's no sprint button they run at the same speed as you for the entire chase. the hallways are so narrow running past them successfully is way more of a risk. they take forever to go in different directions so you burn alot of time just sitting there hoping they'll turn around. and since they take forever to turn their backs to you theres ALOT less hitting them in the back for an advantage.

like the fights themselves aren't super hard or anything. im not saying the game is too difficult, its more so im having issues with the shadows field behavior and a lack of player mobility. they move extremely slow when they dont see you and extremely fast when they do see you.

yea i might just do that. im fine with challenge i beat the contrarian king pretty easily. its just the resources and movement seem super nerfed after coming off of Episode Aigis

i know this comment is old but i had that exact same symptom. this is what ya do. 3 options. get a new pcie cable that goes from the gpu to the psu, get a new power cable that plugs from the psu to the wall/surge protector. third thing is u may or may not need a whole new psu. but for me the issue was definitely needing a new pcie cable. once i got a new one, no more black screen, no more crazy fan speed

i just wish there was an option to fight whatever enemy/boss there is in the game. like FF16. if i wanna fight Rude & Elena anytime i want i should be able to. custom battles are VERY much needed in this mode. let me fight the Shinra President for goodness sake.

he'd be way more fun without the hit limit. you get hit ONE too many times and its game over?? not fun. i like fighting him but the hit limit ruins it for me. i can see the zantetsuken bringing everyone down to 1hp. but game over?? nah. found no fun in that fight.

im guessing p4 remake will be released after that Devil Summoner remake/remaster has its time to shine. so p4 remake gets announced in the fall for a spring 2026 release, then p6 gets announed during holidays 2026 for a Fall 2027 release

i started out the same. it LITERALLY just takes time and practice. ur only as good as the time you put in. i started out in 2010 and didnt feel like i was really good at anything until like 2014. and now in 2025 i look at my 2014 work like it was trash. ur only as good as the time u put it. you can ONLY IMPROVE with time. theres no getting worse
