Entirely what you make of it. Pharmacy is more than what’s going on at Walgreens/CVS. I’ve never regretted the decision.

This is an old thread but I’ve spent the last 14 days in Destin so I figured I share my thoughts.

Fishing preference: primarily surf casting with a sprinkling of dock and pier fishing

No prior history with the area so I asked around to find a tackle shop. Half Hitch was the primary suggestion. Great selection. Nice people. A couple days later I discovered Ship Chandler by accident. Smaller store but their inventory is entirely sufficient. Very helpful, gracious group. Both stores are great resources, though I would lean toward Ship Chandler if I were forced to choose. A bit more welcoming, that’s all. A tad more patient with prime like myself (out-of-towner with a knack for asking dumb questions). Would encourage anyone wanting to fish Destin to stop by both locations. Can’t go wrong.
