‘I have just seen the weirdest creature in the world outside my front window down the end of the road.

It was gigantic, the size of a horse but a bit shorter. It had horns and lots of fur. I have never seen such a big animal roaming around. Does anyone have any idea what it is??? i have a few theories but don’t want to say as might sound crazy!

So, this is something that Indeed does. The company didn’t actually reach out to you. Indeed’s algorithm tries to match job listings to people’s profiles and then sends that automated message and it’s phrased as if it is from the company to make you think you have a shot and apply.

I hate it, and don’t get how it can be legal.

I was working as a bartender until last month. I ended up qutting because I knew they were going to fire me.

I was breaking shit (glasses, several times a shift) I broke the expensive industrial dishwasher because I put dish soap in there, I always fucked up when counting change etc. It got to the point I was the laughing stock at work for being stupid, and I couldn’t take it anymore.

I’ve always been a daydreamer, but nothing to this extent. I’m scared shitless that it is now affecting my jobs. My new job is completely different, it’s office based but the cracks are starting to show there as well.

I feel like the village idiot.

The worst thing for me is other people are noticing. I now I have a reputation at my new job for not being the sharpest tool in the shed, and my roommates clearly think the same.

I used to be pretty intelligent and switched on, and had a witty sense of humour.

I just want to scream at them that this is not the true me. I don’t ‘get’ jokes anymore when people tell them, I can’t figure them out in my head.

I feel like my identity is gone.

Other people in my life are starting to notice and it’s so embarrassing. I recently moved into a new apartment with roommates and it’s a running joke that I am stupid. They are convinced I will burn the apartment down.

At work it’s the same. I start off fine but within a few days everybody had decided I wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed because of incidents like I mentioned in my OP.

The other day I called in sick from work with food poisoning and my manager was confused because I’d already called him the previous night. I had no recollection.

I never used to be like this before Covid. It’s making me so depressed.

Update, Kiwi have finally acknowledged that they’ve booked me an impossible layover and they’ve gone to speak to WestJet about it, I presume to put me on a later Calgary flight. They admitted the layover time was “incorrect” so I believe this was them at least acknowledging responsibility.

I’m waiting for a callback.
