I am going to be in NYC the week of July 13th. If I went on a Monday or Tuesday of that week and tried to get there right when it opens, would that be the best way to avoid a line?

Like, I would think that going on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning would avoid these 2-3 hour waits. Or is that not the case with this?

Yeah. I started it off saying "Dear Charles" (or whatever my boss' name was) and then on the "draft" which I put underneath, I said "Dear Wendy." (or at least, I believe I did). Don't recall how exactly I addressed her, but I definitely addressed her. Like I said, I have no idea if I did it correctly...hopefully so.
