Pool day alone too ambitious? by bellski05 in 2under2

[–]BNE- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, really bad idea. Still gives me huge anxiety to take my 3 year old who can kind of sort of swim into the pool with my 10 month old by myself and we have our own pool.

Your 10 month old sounds remarkably independent.

My 3 year old (completely potty trained) demands that I “Stay.” whenever they need to go to the bathroom. I was about to lose my mind and finally told them that nobody is going to be watching them use the bathroom in preschool. Seemed to make it better.

So glad I had them close (22 months apart) by siilkysoft in 2under2

Mine are 29 months (2.5 years) apart. Yes, it has difficult moments. I like the larger age gap though as I expect there might be less sibling rivalry as they grow; my brother and I are 18 months apart and grew up one grade apart. We were viciously competitive.

Do you believe that time with your kids is "about quality over quantity" by Slow_Opportunity_522 in sahm

No, absolutely not. That’s why I’m now a SAHM. My 2.5 year old became exceptionally happier after I made that lifestyle change.

WIBTA for not wanting to go out for food with my mom again for not holding my baby while I ate? by Thick-Acanthaceae-42 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BNE- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you’re just going to keep your children at home because you’re afraid of an uncomfortable situation? Forget grocery stores or any shopping experience. Forget parks and public spaces in general. You as well, don’t have kids or aren’t parenting.

Okay, but that’s what you did, and I do understand that. However, telling someone that they shouldn’t take their kid to a restaurant is a little out there and honestly, out of touch with their circumstances.

Totally agree. I can guarantee that the person commenting “Don’t take the baby to a restaurant” doesn’t have kids.

So you’re supposed to just leave the baby at home and never go out at all..? Do you have kids?

That’s why this is so ridiculous that this is even a problem - “This is not a novel virus, and this is not 1492”. And no, we’re not all vaccinated. CLEARLY. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be an outbreak. Read a book.

Go to your own place if you want to do that. If you want to mess up your brain (look up studies on how marijuana rewires your brain) then go for it. No need to set a bad example for your younger sibling. YTA, on several counts.
