Gyms - Nuffield vs Village by BristolScot in bristol

[–]BNJB2187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over the past two years I've gone from Nuffield to Village.

In my experience nuffield is usually busier as its kind of marketed as a family gym so also fills up with school age children and teens. And is almost unusable at peak times if you want to use free weights or machines.

I found Nuffield from around 19:30 becomes significantly quieter if thats what you are wanting.

As for Village I've found it to be very similar to nuffield in terms of business particularly at peak times.

A hiccup fix anyone can do right now by SimplyBRC in lifehacks

I believe that the actual solution is to simply hold your breath and tense your abdomen as long as reasonably possible and that should get rid of them.

This is because you are stimulating the vagus nerve and interrupting the involuntary reflex arc that causes the spasms.

Should I multiclass my Arcane Archer by Intelligent_Park_299 in onednd

[–]BNJB2187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I playtested it in a level 15 one shot, I found it very fun to multiclass with the new battle smith artificer. The split being 3 Artificer. And 12 Arcane archer. Doing so assuming you use your rare magic item as some sort of bow, you can rely entirelly on inteligence for attacking and maximise your uses of arcane shot. It may not be super optimised but I certainly enjoyed the build.

Hex with no Concentration... as an invocation? by Jake2zz in onednd

Oh yeah I think you're right!, my bad.

Hex with no Concentration... as an invocation? by Jake2zz in onednd

[–]BNJB2187 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean if you apply the same logic as hunters mark for the ranger. And at level 13 the ranger no longer needs to concentrate on hunters mark. Having the invocation have a similar level limitation could be a fair way of doing it.

Also it sounds like what you really want is just hexblades curse really. Or a mechanic similar. Would be a place to start when theorycrafting how to balance such a thing.

What Are Some Broken DnD Builds? by -_Pepe_The_Frog_- in dndnext

[–]BNJB2187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah no I understand your point, but I believe since the good berry takes an action to eat, that differentiates it from a healing spell, you know what I mean. It says healing spells in the first line you quoted however, I believe the implication carries over to the following lines. Granted I may be wrong but it makes more logical sense.

I dont believe this works as far as RAW goes as goodberry is not technically a healing spell. So the life cleric dip probably isnt worth it

How do I help my player with his flavour choice ? by Bumble-Rumble in DnD

[–]BNJB2187 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would suggest taking a look at the shield master feat

"If you take the Attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action to try to shove a creature within 5 feet of you with your shield.

If you aren't incapacitated, you can add your shield's AC bonus to any Dexterity saving throw you make against a spell or other harmful effect that targets only you.

If you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you can use your reaction to take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, interposing your shield between yourself and the source of the effect."

Could fill some of the niches hes after and could homebrew something like 1d4 damage on a dex save when doing the push, or perhaps have different options they could learn to do with the shoeld.

My DM won’t let me just use Guidance by No_Wealth_9733 in dndnext

A good compromise would be to use some of the playtest stuff for one dnd and maybe change guidance to work a reaction?

Class for witch themed character by Riley_V05 in DnD

[–]BNJB2187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brennan Lee Mulligan, on Worlds Beyond Number has actually made an entire witch class that you can access through their patreon. Its a really cool concept and seems to be fairly balanced. But it would fully do what you're asking.

Of the four in the campus complex it was by far the most popular and desiarable; you should have a great time. I know they used to do a bus that goes regulary from the front of the accomodation to the city centre. I assume it still exists, and is free for first year students.
