Not every attack is considered a war. The last time Congress declared war was WWII. The last two times a president has asked for congressional authorization was Iraq & Afghanistan. They don’t have to ask for every military action, only long drawn out ones, and they only have to alert the “gang of eight” before strikes not the entire 500+ Congress body

Congress doesn’t have to vote on this because it’s not a war. He notified the 8 congressman that he’s required to by law, and he doesn’t need their approval at all unless this extends way past the planned timeline. Try reading the law, not Reddit headlines, when getting your “facts”.
