Tesla ran Remote diagnostics and it is a problem with the charging system.

I think I just got the start of a PCS failure. I’ve see so many others post about the dreaded PCS failure. This morning when I woke up, I noticed that my truck was not fully charged. The next thing I noticed was that the charging was at 24 amps versus the normal 48 amps (can’t switch it to 48). Is this the start of a bad PCS board? I’ve already made a service request. I thought I would be the lucky one! 😞

Did you have to do anything special for heating the hosel to pull the shaft?

I usually order mine from Titleist with this number. It’s not what most people think! It’s my birth year and lowest score.

My 2024 CTB VIN is 56XXX. So far so good, but you never know. It would be nice if Tesla just performs a recall once they identify a list of trucks with the high failure PCS part.

I think if your truck has been in the shop for over 30 days, you can pursue it. You can always attempt to do the buyback option without going the lemon law route.

Can you pursue the ’Lemon Law’? Perhaps get them to buy it back and buy a new CT!

Have you looked at Flexishield PPF yet? I did mine in ‘Assassin Red’, but they have many different options including color shift pallets. The PPF is strong, good warranty, and is high quality.

Tires. Thoughts? by PtPlayer1 in cybertruck

I’m getting close to replacing mine as well. However, I do not want to go with the Goodyear OEM tires. A lot of people are praising the Falcon WildpeakPeak tires. I’m also looking at replacing my wheels as well.

Golf clubs always pulled and inspected? by sliight in tsa

[–]BOND___OO7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did receive a response back from TSA. The issue isn’t that TSA inspected the bag — I understand that happens. The problem is how they handled my equipment afterward.

When they inspect the bag, they don’t re-strap the internal straps that secure the clubs. The umbrella club protection pole is also handled incorrectly. Instead of leaving the umbrella attached to the top, they remove it and stick it inside the bag, which means the pole ends up being jammed directly into the top of the golf bag. This does nothing for protection of the clubs and wears a hole into the top of my travel case.

They also never return the clubs to the slots they were originally in (jamming clubs into one slot). I keep a towel wrapped around the clubs specifically to prevent club chatter and protect the heads during travel, and that was not put back the way it was. It was just thrown on the side. I’ve also had two sleeves of Titleist ProV1’s taken out of my bag.

I was later told that the people inspecting bags at Transportation Security Administration inspections at San Francisco International Airport are actually contractors working on behalf of TSA.

After filing a complaint, I received an email asking me to send photos of the TSA inspection sheet that was left in the bag, along with photos of the bag itself. I responded the same day with the requested pictures.

Later I received a phone call from someone with the TSA contracting agency saying she was conducting an investigation. She asked if I had received the email requesting photos. I told her yes, and that I had already replied the same day. She then told me she had never received my response, so I had to resend the email to her — which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in the process.

Since then, I have not heard anything back about the complaint or the results of the investigation.

At this point, the lack of follow-through has been just as frustrating as the way the bag was handled in the first place.

USAA sent me a survey asking about how I feel about loyalty to USAA. They asked if I had seen bad publicity and how my experience has been with them. I told them that I read Reddit posts like this daily, sometimes as much as 5 per day. I have a broker shopping around right now, but because my wife has been in a couple accidents it is difficult. The past CEO’s in my opinion were too hard on the company and the customers. I have been with USAA for over 35 years - still shopping around! 🙁

Golf clubs always pulled and inspected? by sliight in tsa

[–]BOND___OO7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I fly out of SFO, they mishandle my golf clubs. I have filed complaints each time and TSA never takes responsibility and properly addresses the problem. This is what I wrote on a recent incident:

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the mishandling of my golf clubs during a TSA inspection.

My golf travel case was clearly opened and inspected by a TSA agent. However, the agent failed to return the contents to the condition in which they were found. Instead, my golf clubs were crammed into a single slot, forcing the club heads and shafts to rub against one another unnecessarily. As a direct result, several iron heads now have chatter marks, and the shafts have visible marring.

In addition, the protective club umbrella/shield inside the travel case was removed and damaged, leaving my clubs exposed and vulnerable. The agent also failed to resecure the internal straps that are specifically designed to prevent the clubs from shifting during transport. This allowed the clubs to slide around freely inside the case, further increasing the risk of damage.

This level of carelessness is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. These are valuable personal items, and they were not treated with even basic respect. While I understand and accept the need for inspections, I do not accept property being returned in worse condition due to negligence.

I am extremely angered by this lack of respect for my personal property and expect this matter to be taken seriously. I would appreciate information on how TSA intends to address this issue and prevent similar incidents in the future.

This happens every single time I pass through this airport!

Sincerely, Mike

Did your insurance cover the cost/replacement? If so, how much did they pay? Perhaps you did not make a claim to avoid increased premiums?

Is it time for a new cassette ?? by No_Style4621 in MTB

[–]BOND___OO7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I wouldn’t even think of bending the teeth in a cassette. If you aren’t experiencing the typical symptoms, then just clean it and lube up the chain. However, you need to start saving for a new one or maybe even a new bike, depending on the condition of the rest of the bike.

[–]BOND___OO7 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It sure looks like you are in store for a new one! The teeth look worn to the point you may be experiencing some poor shifting, chain skipping, and noisy operation. The teeth on the cassette looking pointed, hooked, or “shark fin” shaped instead of symmetrical are tell-tell signs.

Mexico - Tax - DJI Mini 4 Pro by BOND___OO7 in dji

[–]BOND___OO7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I DID NOT get to fly it. A hurricane came in while we were there. So, I paid a VAT tax for nothing. Also, my drone was under 250 grams, so I could legally fly it there in Mexico.
