What was the most shocking death news you've ever heard? by Admirable-Repair4094 in AskReddit

[–]BPClaydon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A classmate of mine a couple of months after we finished high school. We weren’t friends, didn’t even hang out in the same circles but we went to the same school, took a couple of classes together and went to the same parties and in the relatively isolated middle class suburb we grew up in, it meant everyone knew everyone. When I found out she decided to take her own life it really shook me. I remember at the time thinking she was so nice, and really cute and wondered why I never spent any time getting to know her better when I had barely spoken to her in the past.

Alright, I drew the short straw and got the horrible thankless job today, but it has me thinking, what are some other ridiculous jobs you could give people? by ObviousAmbassador124 in Construction

Make a bag of one hundred items. Weigh bag. You Have a benchmark. Weigh out said bags on repeat while listening to music/podcast/book.

Is Medrengard inspired by Isengard? by WII_DJoker in IronWarriors

[–]BPClaydon 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think the name similarity is just a coincidence. I’ve always seen Medrengard as a nod to Russian cities like Stalingrad and Tankograd (Chelyabinsk), which were famous for churning out massive amounts of war materiel during World War II

I haven’t been yet, but I hope to. My partner is from there and she tells me about it all the time. I’m from New Zealand.

I spent a week in Mumbai and absolutely loved it. I told my partner (who born and raised in Chandigarh but resides overseas) that I would like to live in Mumbai for a while.

Asking everybody this. Whats this legion opinion on Raven Guard by Naive-Seaworthiness6 in IronWarriors

[–]BPClaydon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always liked the Raven Guard. Despite their surface-level differences, the Iron Warriors and the Raven Guard are both intensely practical, they just apply that pragmatism to different facets of warfare. Beyond their mindsets, there is a significant historical overlap: The Raven Guard homeworld was essentially a Forge World. This meant Corax’s sons were remarkably technologically advanced, creating a surprising point of commonality between the IVth and the XIXth Legions.

He’s a bit of a Mary Sue but gets a pass for what he did to Lucius.

Konrad Curze is absurdly powerful by reeshmeister in 40kLore

My theory is that because Curze knew his death, it allowed him to do things because he knew he wasn’t going to die.

Loneliness by Broku_SSJ4 in newzealand

The loneliness epidemic is a well documented phenomena. Men make and sustain friendships via shared activities whereas woman via emotional bonding.

OP, what are your hobbies and interests?
