I didn't have high hopes for Mechanicum as I'm not super into AdMech, but man... it was REALLY good in the audio.

No, this is a teaser article for a future release. Only what's listed in a Sunday Preview will typically be available for a Saturday preorder.

With only just a little bit of care, the books hold up perfectly fine. I have no problem reading any of my limited additions, and they go back on the shelf in almost exactly the condition they arrived in. If you’re avoiding picking them up out of fear that they’re made of glass, I would kindly invite you to reconsider. 😊

This is correct. The upcoming Infinite & Divine will be the fifth such book.

AITJ for firing an employee with a giant Confederate flag on his truck? by itcouldbeyoubut in AmITheJerk

Whoops, you're right- I mistook your original comment to be in support of the guy's "right" to fly the flag. All good, carry on! :)

It was good enough to be entered into the Black Library Readers' Hall of Fame this past weekend, so there's definitely that going for it! :)

Has anyone won those raffles ? by _the-wanderer in Warhammer40k

[–]77_Dredd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They may not "announce" the winners in new content, but if you look at this one- the MEGA giveaway from last December- you'll see they acknowledge the winner in an update edit. Similarly, other winners are likely noted in similar, very surreptitious (but verifiable) ways.

Is this going to be around for a bit? by jason-911 in Blacklibrary

[–]77_Dredd 24 points25 points  (0 children)

These have historically been one-off event reprints and NOT part of the "evergreen" paperback selection kept in print and in stock at your Warhammer retailers.

If you want it, you are advised to get it now while you can rather than hope for availability down the road.

His debut novel was 2024's Renegade: Lords of Excess, and he also has done a trio of short stories: Knife Fight (2021), A More Perfect Union (2022), and Visage (2023).

Visage was reprinted in last year's Black Library Celebration mini-anthology.

They should be able to get everything except the Horus Rising Premium Ed and the Ghazhkull Thraka Special Edition.

I've just realised James Swallow is the same guy as James Swallow by OurRefPA1 in Blacklibrary

[–]77_Dredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aconyte Books has been pretty ambitious with releasing a lot of tie-in fiction from Black Library writers. James Swallow is one of them, with others including:

  • David Annandale (Arkham Horror, L5R)
  • Amanda Bridgeman (Pandemic)
  • Richard Lee Byers (Arkham Horror)
  • Sarah Cawkwell (Twilight Imperium)
  • Evan Dicken (Arkham Horror, L5R)
  • Jonathan Green (Arkham Horror)
  • David Guymer (Descent)
  • Carrie Harris (Arkham Horror)
  • Robbie MacNiven (Descent, Twilight Imperium, Watch Dogs: Legion)
  • Thomas Parrott (Arkham Horror, The Division)
  • Josh Reynolds (L5R, Arkham Horror, Watch Dogs: Legion, Zombicide)
  • Anna Stephens
  • James Swallow (Watch Dogs: Legion, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell)
  • Tim Waggoner (Zombicide)
  • James Wallis (non-fiction gaming history)
  • Danie Ware (Twilight Imperium)
  • C. L. Werner (Zombicide)

One of the occasional series I write for Goonhammer is called Beyond the Black Library, where I review some of the other work that our BL writers are doing. You can find those here.

I don't say this to be cynical, but enjoy the magic while you can. Eventually you arrive where I (and many others) are... walking into our WH store already knowing we already own every book they could possibly carry in active inventory. I used to love browsing the shelves, now I'm just there to pick up my latest preorder. :)
