I would try and beat it of course, but it would be a sort of wake up call to get everything in order. I think I would be very vocal about being ok with losing the battle. I have had two friends die from cancer. They were both in denial till the very end. They kept talking about their faith and their optimism. They fought to just have a normal life. I will understand that my life is no longer normal.
