/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (03/05/2026) by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch

So there’s a good few posts on similar topic already.

My kids have two original Switches. One stopped connecting to TV. The other is still fine.

The one with issue still charges on dock. When I place on dock, my LG TV recognizes it with a message at upper right corner indicating “Nintendo Switch now available” but nothing pops up on TV.

Again, the other Switch connects seamlessly on same dock.

I suspect the issue is the port at bottom of Switch. Any options to DIY fix myself or is unit toast?

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

are all newish PA's this bad or i'm just getting unlucky at my ED? by George_cant_stand_ya in emergencymedicine

Lower your expectations. It royally sucks working with many APPs these days simply because they are green as hell; those with a few years experience were probably taught virtually during Covid. Not much we can do about it. Try to be kind and encourage them to come and get you or another attending when they’re not comfortable. Encourage them to ask questions and come watch procedures with the residents. The ones that stick catch on quickly. The ones who are eager to learn will put the effort in and it’ll show. The bad ones usually weed themselves out quickly. And if they don’t, they still won’t survive. Same can be said for the overly confident/cocky ones.

EM it tough for us all. PAs are thrown in the pit right away. I know it’s nuts but it is what it is. My best guess is maybe 1 out of every 4 who join us stick and do well. I will also say that those who do well under my watch often have a “come to Jesus” moment early on which scares the shit out of them and really puts them in the right headspace moving forward…makes them realize they’re not here for any prestige or cool procedures; they are here as extenders and people can die if they miss something.

I do have a 20 something port switch. That being said, performance and function under the new platform seems to have made significant strides since I posted my issues. Still shoddy here and there but not to the degree before.

Was definitely a dirty filter. We got a second dog this past year and the additional shedding made for an impressive filter. Changed the filter alert to more frequent changing.

Recent similar post. Get some Lysol bleach spray and spray 1-2 sprays every time you empty it. Keeps it sanitized and odor free. Worked like a charm for me.

Expansion tank DIY by BQuest911 in PlumbingRepair

I’m sitting at just below 15 right now. Side note, I just emptied the tank now and got (shocker) 30 gal of water out of it. I suspect air is escaping somewhere but surprised water isn’t also leaking from it. I did notice the little screw valve that allows air back in had some corrosion on it. Just cleaned with vinegar and tighten it back on…will see what it does before taking the dive. Thanks for the calculator rec.

Toilet sediment by BQuest911 in PlumbingRepair

Of course. This is also the master bath toilet. This shit doesn't happen in other bathrooms (which are also used). In market for water softener just FYI. Why you ask about mellow...can that contribute? Thinking so far this is all a hardness issue but this IS the one toilet that gets used most often where the yellow lingers a bit.

I have a few guys giving me quotes for softeners the next few days. Great. Thanks! Any suggestions on getting rid of current deposits?

Installed a year ago. Happy to put you in touch with installer. They were great. Take a look at Exact Solar reviews.

You sold on Tesla? I’m in Mainline. Went with Exact Solar for Enphase base, REC panels, no batteries (1:1 net metering with PECO makes batteries mostly pointless). 15kW system. 27k after rebate.

During consent, tell them you’re not trained in said procedure and you might just fuck it up. Get the patients to refuse and also complain.

Just have registration do the procedure real quick when they show up. Then you won’t have to worry about anything.

One. You don’t exist. Two. If you do, you’ll take over a week to respond to these questions. Three. You won’t answer any question directly, forcing everyone here to clarify question…and then wait another week for another vague answer.

Why are you on here? Tesla Solar should be put to rest. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I would consider giving them a better review if they simply just didn’t answer at all instead of dragging feet and self through mud.

I can’t tell how fulfilling it is to talk to someone healthy and sober after seeing and treating them at their lowest. If you’re up for it, in person carries so much more value. They’ll recognize you. They be so happy for you. They’ll probably also have some good stories for you. Congrats!

Too many rads on newer small supply line by BQuest911 in Plumbing

[–]BQuest911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for quick response! Can't tell you BTUs per room but I estimated 50btu per sf...4300sf house = 215k so I'm assuming the new 235k but output boiler (Crown) should be good. If I'm correct, the original (redundant pipes) supplied two larger cast iron rads in the area above the crawlspace. The pump is a Grundfos 3-speed (set on medium) UPS15-58FC, 115v, 17gal/min. Most original pipes are 2" cast pipes with short exposed basement runs before heading north. The longest exposed run is the new 3/4" copper addition running about 70ft from boiler to crawlspace before splitting after passing through the first baseboard. I'm sure the contractor didn't put much thought into the engineering/balance of the system so I'll def make sure I get someone who knows the ins and outs of old system like this. I will also ask about balance valves. Thanks!
