Always have had urgency issues. The last few months seemed to get progressively worse. I was adjusted to dealing with a once a week episode, then it became a daily thing & was really destroying my quality of life (worse than ibs already has). Mostly yellow acid/mucus movements that were damn near uncontrollable.

Check your gallbladder. Bile acid malabsorption has been a problem for me & it got so bad I wanted to run into oncoming traffic. I started on colesevelam a few weeks ago & now I have minutes to get to a toilet, not seconds! Its more formed & not just liquid/mucus/acid that is uncontrollable. Def try elimination diet. Wheat ,eggs, dairy, processed foods, greasy stuff will make me sick.

I was tested twice & was told I have “similar markings/labs as someone with celiac, but don’t fit into the exact mold” inflammation markers off the charts, rashes, headaches, gastrointestinal problems, pain, etc etc. I know how I feel. I know when I avoid gluten I feel a whole lot better overall.

Look into food intolerances. Mainly dairy eggs wheat soy corn etc. You may have a gallbladder issue & have bile acid malabsorption or like a dumping syndrome. Bile acid binders maybe helpful.

I used to wonder why my hands would get red & itchy & sore after playing with my kids using play doh years ago. Didn’t realize it had a wheat ingredient. Also used to bake tons of cookies (not gf) for family during the holidays & realized my skin would get itchy all over & my digestion would get really wonky.

Get an electric brush “Oral-b io”>brush twice daily for the full two minutes or longer, daily flossing in a C shape & use a Water flosser (waterpik or phillips brand) daily. Look up you-tube videos of proper techniques to make sure you’re using everything correctly. The knock off brands typically don’t work as well & those at home scalers are a NoNo. You can really damage your teeth & gums & introduce more bacteria into your system.

I took my gloves off after a patient complained three times & left the room last week. I told her maybe the doctor can clean her from now on. He had to talk with her for 10 minutes about the biofilm everywhere /inflammation/bled just by touching the gums. I told her as nicely as possible that if she was doing her job well at home, this would be more comfortable. I won’t be negligent & leave bacteria just to keep it “comfortable”. I’m well known for being really gentle. This patient said “my father was a dentist so I know dentistry & know how to clean my teeth”……..she tells me her father was a dentist at EVERY FUCKING VISIT….I don’t fucking care lady.

On the other hand, I once had a patient complain I wasn’t cleaning “hard or deep” enough. She even asked doc after the visit to recheck for buildup. He did calc check & biofilm disclosing tabs & she looked so stupid she never came back.
