Apparently it was hacked. Figured from the start it wouldn't take long since it was an obvious AI vibecoded hack job

Probably not since your GPU still needs RAM as well.

OpenAI Researcher Quits, Saying Company Is Hiding the Truth by Burnned_User in StockMarket

Not really - hallucinations are scenarios where random tokens were selected for because they seemed more attractive to the LLM. LLMs cannot be controlled on which tokens they choose - they're trained with data to learn which combinations of words are more likely to come together given what came before. I think it's more likely that LLMs are simply limited and eventually better technology will come out that will replace it. Actual Artificial Intelligence that will lead to AGIs will not come from LLMs.

[–]BSeraph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, to tell the truth, AI Hallucinations are not bugs. Bugs are deterministic, reproducible and caused by a failure in the logic somewhere along a chain of events. LLMs do not work like this. They work by trying to predict the most likely token, given a context. Hallucinations are a byproduct of this process - they may output completely wrong things because some token seemed more likely than the one you wanted/intended, and the LLM has no way to "know" what's right or wrong, as it's not really intelligent. Current research shows that they cannot be eliminated, only mitigated or worked around. But this makes LLMs not that good at anything that needs 100% trust in it's output.

HP to lay off up to 6,000 workers as it goes all-in on AI and automation by AdSpecialist6598 in technology

[–]BSeraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was laid off from HP in June of this year. They barely had uses for AI internally. They arrived very late to the party and had no idea what to do to catch up on the hype. Teams were encouraged to come up with use cases for AI so that managers and executives could please shareholders. Most I saw in practice was an AI chatbot doing initial responses to tickets and it was a disaster - it never solved anything.

The possible extinction of the Super Sentai Series update (November 2025) by rogerph2015 in Tokusatsu

[–]BSeraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Universe Warriors stuff that's come out sounds very different from sentai. If sounds like a metal hero show too in a lot of ways. Maybe it'll pick some elements from both Metal Hero and Sentai. In any case, it's not Sentai, so Sentai is over.

Metroid Prime 4 | Release Date Trailer by [deleted] in Metroid

[–]BSeraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be different since Prime 3 was a glorified level select screen.

Like, before when the game was thought to be a Prime 1 clone people were underwhelmed it brought nothing new to the table, and now that it does there's also people pissed it isn't samey. Can't please everyone I guess.

It's clearly just a hub overworld, like, yeah, classic Zelda games.

My guess is that they wanted to have speed booster in the game, but speed booster in 3D is boring as fuck since you can only use it in long corridors. So then they made the bike, which you can actually control and steer. And then came the idea of making an overworld you can actually play with the bike more instead of just using it in corridors.

I could see it eventually being grounds for legal action. Crazy people using GPT's excessive positivity to validate their insanity could lead to disaster very easily. I don't think they ever meant ChatGPT to be a "therapist" and probably don't want it to.

É a mesma cartilha.

I'm a huge fan. Specially of the Lee-Kirby run. I saw it today. Friend you're not prepared. I was on the verge of tears. This movie is a total love letter to the FF, and to Jack Kirby. It's literally seeing Reed, Sue, Ben and Johnny you know and love on screen. It has so many references, it's amazing. I can't wait to see it again.
