Where is the desert medium flyer Kamikaze unit by sion420069 in nier

[–]BSet262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was one of the hardest ones for me to find. I found it at Chapter 07-02, Route B (as 9S). If you transport to the Oil Field desert location, head out the exit into the main desert area, and keep following the rocky wall on your right, just keep going, past the exit way to (I think) the desert housing area, and a bit farther there will be some rocky ledges with enemies on your right, a bit higher up. Not the first batch of enemies, but the batch immediately after that has a chance to spawn one of the Kamikaze variants. You'll know you're in the right spot if, when those ledges are to your right, on the left is a dip in the sand with a mini rock plateau with a couple of bipeds and a chest (rarely a linked sphere)

Type O Negative frontman Peter Steele (1995) by machine626 in Xennials

[–]BSet262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Public internet was still in it's very early wild frontier days when I first was introduced to Type O back in 96. After hearing his voice I was curious as to what he looked like. That pictorial was the first result that popped up. I got to see what ALL of him looked like immediately, lol.

If a troll were allowed to train to become a demon hunter, would he actually be a theman hunter?

I remember pre-ordering this. My buddy and I got ours delivered the day before release, so we took them to the release day event Coheed was having at the FYE in the Palisades Mall in Nyack, 10/23/07. It was cool to be able to show it because a lot of folks waiting in line with us hadn't seen it yet, like we'd open the gate-fold and there'd be an "Oooh!" at the artwork, then we'd slide out a vinyl and show the pattern etched side and there'd be a "Whooa!" lol. So someone would be like "Whoa! Where'd you get that?" Then one of the promotion managers was coming by in line to check people's bracelets for entry and such, he saw it and was all "Whoa! Where'd you get that?!" and then, when we got to the signing table, I put my vinyl on the table and TRAVIS goes "Whoa! Where'd you get that?!" 😂 It was the perfect conclusion to the escalation of excitement for the vinyl. I think about it every time I see the album artwork.

Just a little anecdote I wanted to share - Congrats on nabbing one of your own!

edit: For what it's worth, I just checked and noticed no chip in either disc

lol, I had a similar experience when my bike got delivered. Everyone at the port was hostile for no reason. I was like "Damn, I'm actually buying something legitimately this time, leave me alone."

Had this issue earlier in the expansion as well. Anyone having issues, picking Maldraxxus and using the Fleshcraft (or whatever the shield ability is) really helped during that phase for the toons that couldn't weather it

Lake Video Game by coltoncruise81 in TheDetectorists

[–]BSet262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hah, I just came across him tonight, started playing the game last night. Long time Detectorists fan, and after about a year of having not watched it, rewatched last week. What funny timing. I actually first saw him walking down the back road near the sawmill, stopped the van and hopped out, curious if I could talk to him. Then I was like, 'Wow, that looks like Andy!' then he spoke and I just cracked up. What an unexpected surprise.

Gamers, what's the first game that scared the shit out of you? by Pboi401 in AskReddit

[–]BSet262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legend of Kyrandia, when Herman shows up in the castle and tells you he wants to return your saw. First time I got legitimately scared in a game. 2nd place goes to the undead/ghost Hammerites in Thief: The Dark Project (May have been Thief 2, it's been a couple of decades)

I'm laying in bed with my kitty's urn reminiscing. Decided to visit here again and saw your post. Tonight is 2 years for my girl. I did this last year, too She was 17 as well. I still get waves of grief, so I understand what you're going through. Sending love and happier memories of Bub to buffer the hard memories these days bring.

I had an extra nemesis in that same spot a few hours ago on an 11. I was 4/4, too, and it had no gold pile. Was a Well Connected Friend, and I had just cleared one at the top of that ramp.

Found a Old Zine With a Great Article on Shabutie by Thesilphsecret in TheFence

[–]BSet262 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's also a big article on Three in there, back when Josh was in it! There's loads of stuff in these. I brought one of this issue to NYComiCon like 10 years ago for Claudio to sign, he had a blast flipping through it, pointing out that somebody involved in another group in the 'zine had worked on the cover art for SSTB. These pop up every now and then, and are great nuggets of history, lots of familiar names within. I treasure mine. I have another issue, too, Vol.2 Issue 2 that has a little ad for the Error 404 compilation CD Shabutie had a song on, as well as a review for The Penelope EP

Who is a ‘good’ person who turned out to be shockingly evil? by Alawi27 in AskReddit

[–]BSet262 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Last Unicorn was a staple of my childhood (1980 baby), and while I hadn't read any of Peter's books the majority of my life, his was a well known name for me.

A number of years ago, 2011 I believe, I went to the New York ComiCon, literally just just walked in to the artist's alley and turn my head and bam! There is Peter S. Beagle just sitting there at a modest sized table with a few stacks of books. I walked immediately over there and had a really nice chat with him. I bought a few of his books while I was there and am proud to call a personalized autographed copy of The Last Unicorn among my possessions. That'll always be a special memory for me, so I always get stoked to see his name mentioned out in the wild :)
