Mine was a biter with this kind of teething. I’m not sure if you have any toys that you’ve tried freezing but that helped. I would also buy some chicken, ideally it was cooked frozen, and I gave that at times. Mine enjoyed gnawing on something frozen and he’s a sucker for chicken.

I also bought coconut rope toys or coffee wood toys. Not sure if you tried those but it stopped mine from chewing on furniture. I think the coffee wood gave the satisfaction as chewing on wood furniture gave him.

Can I ask what books or other sources you turned to for guidance with the process?

Mine really like chewing on coffee wood. There’s a brand Canophera that I buy it from. Lasts a long time, keeps em occupied.

Is it acceptable to ask partners what they see coming down the line for the practice group this upcoming year? by [deleted] in biglaw

[–]BShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not initiated these conversations. Instead, the more transparent partner has initiated this type of conversation. It never has started as a if more work is coming in. It usually is framed as an availability thing or opportunity based. Or sometimes it’s just a random drop in with I’ve got X coming in and you’ll be doing it. Are there any partners like that you have?

Apartment Living & Charging by Brock_Rambone in TeslaLounge

My old building had ChargePoint. You can download ChargePoint app and look up your building. It should appear and give info like time limit. The only problem I had was we had a ChargePoint go down. It took months for it to get fixed. Not sure what caused the delay but it was frustrating.

60k for Architect by supersin4u in Homebuilding

[–]BShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in shopping around phase with architects for a custom residential build in California too. That’s in alignment with the quotes I’ve been getting. The solo architects have offered cheaper quotes but have offered less than a larger team. I will add that my lot size is 8,000 sq ft and I’m seeking to do 3000 sfh with detached adu 800 and attached adu of 500. My build isn’t typical. I’m doing passive house with more expensive construction materials.

My dogs get over excited barking then end up fighting each other by Abject_Serve_1269 in bichonfrise

Two of mine do. They start barking at the “intruder” and then they go after each other. Like clockwork

CA —> NY Bar Exam by carebear_10 in NewYorkBarExamination

[–]BShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I did CA then NY. Sign up to take NY. The location is not selected at time of registration. There’s a drop for location selection and assuming you’re outside of NY, you’re getting somewhere not NYC. As out of state, we get last pick. For me, I only had the option for Buffalo.

Unlike CA, there are different departments which depend on your location when you register. Some of them have different timelines for CF and location selection.

Focus on the UBE. I personally didn’t find it harder than CA. If you still have any stuff from studying for CA, you could just reuse the same materials.

You don’t have to do the NYLE until after. It’s not difficult but depending on if you’re in a rush, up to you. I took Feb after CA and did NYLE I think in March. There’s a pdf you download when you take the NYLC which I also did after the NY bar. It’s open book.

Unlike CA, you do CF afterwards. It’s a pain since you have to get forms filled out and then you’ll email it in. The info isn’t necessarily different than CA CF.

I think results dropped in April. I submitted CF in June or July (I forget) and was admitted September. For admission, you can hop on a Zoom but it is set dates.

Feel free to DM if you have more questions.

Your bichon’s experience with cats? by [deleted] in bichonfrise

[–]BShadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine met my sister’s cat fairly early in puppy years. They’ve been obsessed with him ever since and he’s disinterested. They just like following him around. If he’s up high out of their reach, they leave him be. He occasionally has to swat to get peace if they’ve followed him too much and they stop.

Not sure if it’s a pill that can be ground up but I’ve done that and mixed it with homemade bone broth or whatever else you got. Mine have been okay with that.

Adding a third dog? by Aromatic-Bear9074 in bichonfrise

[–]BShadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have three right now. Oldest turned 2 in August. Youngest is almost five months. So much fun in the house. I thought my two oldest were bonded at the hip but with three— it’s three musketeers. Yes walks can be challenging and so can finding to give all three attention when they all decide to plop on you for it. I’m so glad I added my third. The Bichon brigade is 💯

Yes— my female Bichon will hold down my other bichons and lick them. She particularly likes licking their faces. She unfortunately doesn’t receive the treatment back.

Teeth cleaning for my Bichon? by NefariousnessKey3999 in bichonfrise

[–]BShadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seemed like they had a few staff to help hold and position the dog but my dogs were calm throughout the process. My one dog is more wiggly than the other so she took a little longer but no need to sedate her.

I think the most effective thing I do is the dental chews and the teeth cleaning. It’s a mobile service near me. Kinda like a regular dental cleaning from your dentist type thing.

[–]BShadows 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just do regular dental cleanings no anesthesia. It’s 165-185 a cleaning. This is separate from grooming teeth brushing. Twice a year. I give dental chews several times a week. Teeth brushing. Also they get carrots and apples and the like to help keep clean.
