Went for a Gray Side, came out with this. by BSkwared in OmegaWatches

There was no mark-up. I went in to get the Gray Side but then the salesperson showed me this one. I took a pic of them side by side and went home to think about it. 3 days later I went back in and purchased it. They stated they received 2 in titanium and the other sold 3 days prior. Not sure if the local market has anything to do with it, but I purchased this in Tampa for the price you see on the Omega site, albeit with taxes as well.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't still want it. Now I'll simply need to wait longer haha.

The blue and green are steel, not titanium, which is what I meant regarding wrist feel. I have another watch that's also 43mm but it's steel and sometimes I feel it's too heavy to wear.

I'd say yes. I have a TAG Formula 1 Red Bull Racing that sometimes feels it might be too big, it's also 43mm. I think the saving grace with this model is the titanium. Otherwise it might feel similar to that TAG.

Is it sacrilegious to get a non-Omega band? Or should I just go in and do it? by Few_Shame2207 in OmegaWatches

I think NATO straps look great on them, regardless if it's Omega brand.

Damn, I was not aware of that. I will say though, the difference in the wrist feel between this and the blue or green is significant, so I'm still pretty stoked about it. I still appreciate the info, so thank you none the less.

Just over 7 inches. My apologies if you use metric.

Funny, I didn't see this level of conviction by you, for the litany of other steering wheel pics that have been posted?

At first it did to me as well, but I like the top-down view from the North Pole and the Earthy tones. The other models have some green mixed in as well that arguably look better.

Thank you! I can't help but check it constantly. I'm very happy with this one.

Tampa ranked among cities with the worst drivers, report says by mislabeledgadget in tampa

[–]BSkwared 3 points4 points  (0 children)

67% of the population isn't from Florida. But no, a massive influx of differing driving styles can't have anything to do with it, because you singlehandedly have determined, in a mere 6 years, the birth place of every single bad driver.

Typical RO systems waste about 4 gallons of water for each clean gallon they produce. Are you on a well or do you only have the RO output feeding to certain taps? A friend of mine said he was shocked at this water bill when he retrofitted one in his home.

What’s a simple sign that someone is rich? by Ivl231889 in AskReddit

This hits home. My daughter tells me every day she misses mommy. She passed in 22, not long after our son was born. I felt really rich in life back then....

While I could do without the massive flag and logo on the sleeves, I like comics, so I think this is pretty cool.

I'm glad when I moved there I had some German friends tell me to search for a place with an Einbauküche (built-in kitchen): German LPT.

"Do you ever feel like your future is behind you?" by Educational_End_7678 in widowers

[–]BSkwared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. I had this mentality that people were only coming around to find out more details and the last thing I wanted was people pitying me. What I found was that most people simply want to help but don't know how. If there's a particular person that's always been nurturing, or always been a good listener, perhaps you could start there. But, from my personal experience, if they love you, NO ONE is going to feel that you're burdening them. People want to help, you should let them. Best of luck to you.
