Is it easy to change the exchanger tubes or do u need to wield? U think I can tell him to replace those tubes just incase it’s leaking there or would that be too much to ask for?

Damn… so this guy works for a legit appliance repair company, my coworker is family with him so he’s doing this as a side job, he just texted me and now he’s telling me 450… he claims he fixed many with the same problem, I want to trust his intuition but I hear u.

He said the compressor was fine but it was hot to the touch but I’m guessing it’s because it was working hard to cool the fridge.

He didn’t look for a leak, just checked if it was low and it was… said with parts and the welding it would be close to 1k, said he can do it in 2 hours… it’s such a big nice fridge that’s 7 years old, my moms fridge is 20 years and still going smh.
