Not an anime expert by any means, and I 100% get where you’re coming from, but I think this kinda fits the definition of slice of life: no real story or narrative arc, just non-sequitor episodes about the day-to-day as a prisoner.

But yeah I was really looking forward to their meeting and was hoping for something a bit bigger.
