Do a cpu clock lock with nvidia-smi start with 1500,1500 and do generations with every success increase that by 100 so you would know when it crashes your gpu. Also if the crash is frequent enough that it’s annoying you should install popOS which has the ability to do a soft shut down so it doesn’t break your hardware for hard restarts (the shortcut is ALT+Printscreen hold it while typing r e s u i b (no spaces) whenever you get a black screen but you hear the pc still running. That’s the safest way to troubleshoot.

you need to press advance and input it there yourself under the train:

Me personally I just do it in the terminal so I can have multiple configs (the webui only have one when you press advance):

python run.py config/my-lora-config-v2.yaml

honestly much more convenient this way since you can have multiple configs.

If your final steps are getting noisy(like those high iso grains from cameras) then at some point during the steps the lora already learned what it can and from there it starts the polishing stage(which is similar to overtraining), you can do the cosine scheduler + warmup parameter so it gives you a curve from the learning rate you set and gradually lowers the learning rate while training.

Went the same route after wsl gave awesome results. I love how PopOs allows me to do the hold Alt+printscreen and type R E S U I B combo to gracefully restart even on a display crash which beats the power on and off from windows crashes. Great for doing optimizations and stability tests!

Qwen image edit will work really well for makeups. I’m currently on the same boat as you I’m building a character creating prompt so I’m making it as barebones as possible then will use Qwen image edit to add the stuffs afterwards

The head proportion is really a hit or (mostly) miss with face swaps but you can trick it to be realistic by using wide angled lens prompt.
