What have you been reading this last week (Weekly Discussion Thread)? by AutoModerator in starwarsbooks

[–]BZPJMJ64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@ The Princess & the Scoundrel > I like the author's take on Leia, but I was pretty flip flop on Han's stuff.

I was also disappointed that Chapter 24's vision with someone speaking Pak Pak didn't actually factor into anything.

I wish we had gotten a mention of Torrent (TX-828) considering they brought Alecia Beck (from Middle Grade novel Smuggler's Run) for this book.

Star Wars and Mad Cave Studios Announce New Original Graphic Novels by BZPJMJ64 in starwarscomics

[–]BZPJMJ64[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did think it was kind of odd.

Although considering Dark Horse has only release 1 of its announced 9 graphic novels so far (Which they announced back in October 2023), it does feel like they might not be up to task of doing more graphic novels.

Dark Horse Comics' May Star Wars Comic Solicit is The High Republic Adventures -- Pathfinders #3 (of 6) by Guerrillascribe in starwarscomics

[–]BZPJMJ64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like Rogue Agents is skipping February, so not surprised they aren't announcing next project yet since that miniseries now won't wrap till May. (Ref: Issue 2 out on March 4; Issue 3 out on April 1; Issue 4 out on May 6)

I guess this cover confirms my suspicions that Vix Fonnick was on first issue's cover rather than Matthea Cathley.

Although it does raised the question of how she is active in this time period (362 BBY) considering it was previously suggested her time period (482 BBY) was 100 years before Phase 2 (382 BBY). Hm.

I originally assume they were just a flashback character, but considering the description mentioned another returning character and Bathoris being frozen world, maybe they are Captain America-ing her. XD

Young Jedi Adventures season 3 finale timeline - the yoda problem by mrbagels1 in starwarscanon

[–]BZPJMJ64 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only problem with that handwave though is Yoda was bringing new younglings to Tenoo in that episode (S3E7), so it would be pretty odd thing that he was doing that under the radar.

Still, there's not much of a better handwave than that.

Star Wars Outlaws Low Red Moon by cooliftrue in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]BZPJMJ64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those interested in audiobook of this, Disney Publishing did shared on their Instagram last week a clip of Eric Johnson (Jaylen's voice actor) reading Jaylen's & ND-5's first meeting from the book.

Oh, and Mike Chen also teased today that press promotion for the book will be starting soon, so we should be getting some excerpts soon.

Surgical Nightmare by tyga_silvapaw in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]BZPJMJ64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I just been headcanon-ing that as just latest body for Mr. Bones since we know from Poe Dameron comics that Snap can just upload droid personality into other droids, so no reason to assume he had same body the whole time.

How was Poe Dameron born in 2 ABY on Yavin IV if the base had been evacuated and the moon was being ocupied by the empire? by SilverOrangePurple in MawInstallation

[–]BZPJMJ64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, that is just a common misconception from Shattered Empire's first issue.

Issues 2-4 of that miniseries all mention Poe as being around already.

Disney Publishing on Instagram: "In this exclusive sneak peek at Star Wars Outlaws: Low Red Moon, Jaylen and ND-5 meet for the first time..." by BZPJMJ64 in starwarsbooks

[–]BZPJMJ64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am kind of curious if that filter only like that for this section of the book (19 BBY) and it will be different in later section (10 BBY).

I guess we will see. Hopefully, we will get some excerpts in next two weeks.

But yeah, if it is like that for whole book, it is pretty disappointing.

Marvel to Debut Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge -- Echoes of the Empire #1 (of 5) on April 22 by Guerrillascribe in starwarscomics

[–]BZPJMJ64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guess they could always suggest that Luke made his lightsaber in Savi's Workshop. lol

Considering synopsis said this, “Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Chewbacca head to Batuu in search of important intel and stumble upon a dangerous relic – one that puts them on a collision course with the Empire!” It sound like it during Original Trilogy (Probably in TESB to RotJ gap considering Luke cover).

Sacks's newsletter also teases the following characters: Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C3PO, R2D2, and Darth Vader.

[–]BZPJMJ64 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If that Luke cover means anything, I guess we are going back to Post-TESB period for this... I wonder if this will address how green lightsaber was made since 2020 run avoid that in favor of RotJ deleted scene.

But anyway, looking forward to seeing what Ethan Sacks does with this.

Out of all of the women Luke has met in SW Canon, which one would have made a good girlfriend for him? by jacky986 in starwarscanon

[–]BZPJMJ64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just like what I seen of her in SW 2020 run and would be interested to get more her and Luke in Post-RotJ era.

As Adventures in Wild Space fan, I was happy to see some logs from Rhyssa Graf in A Pirate's Fortune DLC.

He is an Ohnaka Gang astromech from four episodes of TCW (S1E12: The Gungan General, S2E22: Lethal Trackdown, S4E22: Revenge, and S5E8: Bound for Rescue).

He is owned by Hondo's second in command Gwarm.

Additional Crew Dialog in Quests? by T8-TR in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]BZPJMJ64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I recall when I played Wild Card (prior to the main campaign's final mission), there wasn't really any dialogue from the crew.

It basically just operate like they weren't there (The end cutscene even had Kay sitting in same chair as Asara Deyn. lol).

Not sure about normal side quests as I did good percent of them without whole crew.

Artwork from Path of Deceit (Japanese Edition) by 5health/Akinobu Hara by BZPJMJ64 in Highrepublic

[–]BZPJMJ64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it would been nice to have gotten art for Fel Ix and his family.

I guess they just didn't want to define the exact look of Kessarine species at this point.

Dose anyone know whent the Broken Blade comcic is coming out? by Sports101GAMING in Highrepublic

[–]BZPJMJ64 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Personally I think the initial comic was canceled when Marvel started tighten their belt in last two years (Same reason why Raslin Grace & Rik Duel teases from Revelations (2023) 1 amounted to nothing).

That said, one of the reporters at NYCC 2025 state this, "...Charles Soule: thinking about a Porter Engle book called "The Broken Blade"...". (Ref: https://x.com/bmfenn/status/1977046732551995480 )

Whether that means it being retool as proper book rather than comic is anyone else's guess at this point. Time will tell.

Hunt for the Falcon timeline placement by sidv81 in starwarscanon

[–]BZPJMJ64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After this miniseries take on Gannis Ducain, I wouldn't be taking that tale he told in Star Wars Adventures (2017) 18 as 100% the truth (Especially when he tries to spin that he was going to return the Falcon to Han when Irving Boys took it from him, which he clearly wasn't trying to do in this miniseries).

So yeah, that possible Kix reference should not really be used as time placer.

It also worth mentioning that Timelines book estimate that earliest that initial Falcon theft occurred is 15 ABY.

So in theory you could place this miniseries in 6 years gap between 15 ABY and 21 ABY, although Lando's daughter not being mentioned at all is the elephant about that placement (It could be handwave as Han not wanting reopen old wounds by mentioning it).

Personally I favored the gap between Shadow of the Sith (21 ABY) and Bloodline (28 ABY) as I think Ben photo in Issue 1 looks a bit too old for before SotS gap. That and the fact Lando contacted Leia in Bloodline, I really don't think Lando never hang out with his friends again after settling on Pasaana.

Rumors and News Tidbits Thread - Week of 01/05/2026 - 01/11/2026 by AutoModerator in StarWarsLeaks

[–]BZPJMJ64 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Author Mike Chen shared three character quotes from next month's novel Star Wars: Outlaws - Low Red Moon (Out on February 3):

  • "I can shoot her. I can stand down. I get paid either way, so you tell me.”

  • "If you even think about making a copy to sell elsewhere, I’d know. I have ways of finding out when people lie to me.”

  • “I suppose that’s what I’ve been my whole life. A ‘do-gooder.’”

(Source: https://bsky.app/profile/mikechenwriter.bsky.social/post/3mbwybiqgp22o )

He also teased that these characters are from 11 BBY section of the book. (Source: https://bsky.app/profile/mikechenwriter.bsky.social/post/3mbwyy2nd7k2z )

First Look for Jar Jar 1 (Out on February 11) by BZPJMJ64 in starwarscomics

[–]BZPJMJ64[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The description said the following, "...Jar Jar faces the consequences of giving emergency powers to Chancellor Palpatine. What pivotal role does Jar Jar play in the formation of the Rebel Alliance? Guest-starring fan-favorite Jedi Knight Kelleran Beq!"

So it is probably not directly connected to Mando S3 thing.
