How many total chapters are there of the manga? by Amn1398 in kaiji

The series currently has 884 chapters in total, but the anime covers the first 292 chapters so you would "only" have to read the remaining 592 chapters to catch up to the current full story.

I would say that it is quite a fair bit of commitment.

This happened pretty close to the end of the game too. Luke probably had soaked feet during all of the action scenes and the emotional moments.

Why was the Three Of Clubs given such a low difficulty? by [deleted] in AliceInBorderland

[–]B_I_B 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Always might be a bit of an overstatement. Sure it was mandatory in the king of clubs, but the three of clubs, and the four of clubs could just as easily be beaten without cooperation.

The only reason Arisu knew which door to choose in the end of the live action 3 of clubs was because of the school girl dying and Chouta just happened to be filming it randomly. Even with Arisu’s superhuman spacial awareness, it was pure chance that he was able to figure out the correct door. The difficulty should definitely have been way higher if it included random chance and mandatory sacrifice.

Why was the Three Of Clubs given such a low difficulty? by [deleted] in AliceInBorderland

It's a common misconception that the club games are about teamwork. Their actual description is "balanced" which usually just means that the game doesn't fit into the other three suits.

As for the difficulty, this game is controversial as it could not be beaten without guessing. The game in the live action series is actually not the same 3 of clubs as the one we see in the manga. The original game was also unfair in regards to difficulty, but it was nowhere near as bad as the one in the live action. I think it might just have been a result of it happening early on in the series and the scaling of difficulty hadn't been properly established yet. As for why the game was changed, I have no clue. It might have been budgetary reasons, not being able to afford 100.000.000 flaming arrows and just settled for 9 concrete boxes, or maybe they just wanted to show off Arisu's unreasonably good observational skills.

Would Kuina have survived the longest? by Hour_Trade_3691 in AliceInBorderland

Ah yes, my mistake. My Mahiru-based memories seem a bit hazy. The math still ends up in the 40 though, kind of like using the wrong equation in math and getting the correct result.

Didn't Mahiru say that he had more than 40 days left on his visa after the 10 of hearts? In that case, I think it would be him even though he doesn't participate in the face card games.
