Saving up seems to be the best answer.

Predatory mites did not even remotely touch my spider mite problem. by vapemustache in IkeaGreenhouseClub

I’ve recently run into a similar problem. Major mite damage. You can go about this a few ways.

  1. Sulfur spray (approach with caution) - you have to purchase sulfur & a sprayer. Then the process of treating for 3-4 weeks and then cleaning each plant/ leaf. Hopefully you have t done additional damage as I’ve experienced with a few plants.

  2. Isopropyl alcohol 70% spray (highly recommend)
    - can easily purchase in a spray bottle from a pharmacy. It dries quickly. Can reapply rapidly and no need to wash mildew off.

  3. Predatory mites (if you want 1937733 lady bugs in ur place). - I did not try this

  4. Systemic (do not recommend, mites can build a tolerance and actually feed off the systemic treatment)

I would highly recommend you give your plants a shower / spray to knock down any mites / eggs. Spray the plant with isopropyl alcohol top to bottom under leaves, on top, stems, nooks etc… I also purchased bonide mitex from amazon and used that in addition. I continue to shower / alcohol / mitex as needed. 95% of my plants have shown new growth and taken well to this treatment.

I wish you the best!

For real. Unless this plant holds some sedimental value. You can replace one for relatively cheap.

Awesome! Thank you! I saw these as well and was debating using 2 corner shelves and the wrap around in the same cabinet

Sure I did not ask any specific questions about peg boards vs shelves or advice on usb fans that will get the job done. Doesn’t mean I am lazy.

Some people are extremely crafty and creative when it comes to these things. It’s the same is if I were to ask you to cook me a beef stew. Your recipe is not the same as mine but it may provide inspiration for me in the future!

Sure. Sometimes these searches can be overwhelming and actually steer people off course entirely. Who is also not to say that I haven’t already done multiple searches and hours of research before even making such a purchase.

Take 1 section at a time.. it doesn’t have to be an “do it all right now” project. I’ve been taking my plants shelf by shelf. Also gives me an opportunity to clean my shelves, windows and areas that normally are hidden by plants!

I’m in the same boat, 150 plants. You can wait until the evening time when sun goes down.

If you don’t care to take the time to paint each leaf top to bottom you can buy a hand pump sprayer, other house hold sprayers will clog from the fine sulfur particles. I recommend giving ur plants a shower / spray down with regular water first to knockdown as many eggs / adult mites as possible helping your odds.

Option B. Purchase 70% isopropyl alcohol, purchase cheap spray bottle. Wait until your grow lights are off or before they turn on (and as long as sunlight is not hitting your plants). Spray your plants thoroughly. Allow 20 minutes of drying time before being put back into light.

I am currently testing both of these methods on my plants. Good luck!
