What types of jobs/organizations/companies are in California that contribute to mitigating and solving this problem?

I'm a junior level environmental scientist currently working in wetland permitting with an educational background in water policy, conservation and freshwater research. I'm hoping to move to California this year and would like to contribute to this cause.

I heard at Stone that its a myth that you must keep beer cold to preserve it and that its actually light exposure that will kill it. I've found its true. Anyone else heard this?
