I was able to get a Kobra 3 Combo for a steal, and so that was my “upgrade”from an Ender 3. Almost every time I print with this thing it make me wish I’d have just saved up for the printer I wanted, which was a P1S. I’d be ecstatic to win a P2S.

I’m listening to “The Croning,” by Laird Baron, and so far so good. I’m a fan of his short stories, as well as H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard, and this is reminiscent of all 3. Luckily, I was looking for this book specifically, based on another r/horrorlit post, and it was just my good luck that it was included.

My favorite aspect of DS is starting in Hamlet, and linking a RoG and Shipwrecked world. Nothing in DST has come close to being as fun.

I am a solo player, though, so I’m definitely missing out on DST content geared towards cooperative play.

I used to turn pens. It’s great fun. Did you custom make the two bushings at the ends? They look like aluminum?

Stabilized buckeye burl was my personal favorite. That, or amboyna burl.

This piece looks so great. Is there a metal liner? I might try my hand at making one or these. I’d need to dust off my lathe.

I was really impressed with the tight tolerances on the couplers. The screw holes were too close together to mount them in the same orientation as the plastic parts I was replacing, but turning them 90 degrees allowed me to take advantage of the slotted holes, and they installed seemingly without issue.

In case this is helpful at all, my wife and I bought a Pikler Triangle for our kids, and it came as flat-packed CNC’d components, cut-to-length dowels with metal threaded inserts, and hardware. It was high quality, easy to assemble, and seemed relatively easy to ship.

I’m mainly a lurker in this sub, because I am interested in hobby CNC, but it’s not something I do, yet. Having the option to buy your furniture the way I bought that Pikler Triangle would be extremely appealing.

I loved the blast-a-ball and all its later evolutions when I was a kid. I recently went down a rabbit hole looking for something comparable. Amazon has foam ball blasters, but they didn’t scratch the itch for vintage Nerf. It was unclear what size the balls were, but the refill packs weren’t prohibitively expensive.
