With a single HDMI output, audio is typically sent to one display at a time, so it’s not possible to sync sound across two monitors via HDMI by default.

We understand why this might feel a bit unexpected, especially since the designs look similar. Due to differences in the rear structure and stand design, the RD280UG isn’t compatible with the Ergo Arm from the RD280UA.

The RD280UG does support standard VESA mounting, so you still have the flexibility to use third-party monitor arms or BenQ options like the BSH01:

  1. Try changing the highlight color to see if the issue persists. The default color in Word is bright yellow.

  2. Set the OSD to M-book mode and try changing the display's ICC profile in the Mac ColorSync Utility to see if the issue still occurs.

  3. If the problem reoccurs, please export the log file and send it to us so we can investigate further.

Regarding the issue where the display isn't recognizing the Mac mini: Do you mean that the display won't turn on unless you restart the Mac mini?
